I was brought up on the banks of the River Mersey. Opposite Liverpool in aplace called the Wirral. A peninsular between Liverpool and North Wales in the UK. I worked in Theatre and Opera before moving into Film and Television.

Sir Ken Robinson
Sir Ken Robinson was born in the shadow of Goodison park in Liverpool. The home of Everton Football club. One of seven children he had aspirations to play for the football team but was struck down by Polio at the age of four. Although his brother Neil played football professionally for Everton and other clubs. His Father who played semi-professional football was also injured in a work accident on the docks in Liverpool. Although as a child he was confined to bed initially he was able to attend the Margaret Beaven Special School. Then later the Liverpool Collegiate School due to his accomplishments in school. He then attended Breton Hall College of Education were he was awarded a degree in Education. Completing his Phd at the University of London researching drama and theatre in Education.

RIP Jessye Norman
The American soprano Jessye Norman, sadly died of complications from a spinal cord injury aged 74, in September of last year. She was one of the most prominent singers in the last quarter of the 20th century. At her peak, her regal stage manner, brought her immense prestige and high fees.

Review for Mirabai Ceiba's 'Agua de Luna Album', June 19
I was initially introduced to Mirabai Ceiba on the release of their album Awakened Earthback back in 2011. I was intrigued by their name. Mirabai being the 15/16th century devotional poet who composed over 1,000 devotional bhajans, expressing her love for lord Krishna. Ceiba is the sacred Latin American tree. The tree plays an important part in the mythologies of pre Columbian cultures. It grows very tall and wide with deep roots and is never cut.

Snatam Kaur’s 'Beloved' album
It’s always a joy and a pleasure to catch up with Snatam Kaur. Especially for this latest album Beloved, which she describes as a “sound medicine tool kit, with each track having a specific healing effect.” I was overjoyed to learn the album was nominated for a Grammy award. Billy Hayes is an American writer, actor, and film director. He is best known for his autobiographical book Midnight Express about his experiences in and escape from a Turkish prison after being convicted of smuggling hashish. Hari Kirin and Ajeet Kaur in Taiwan
Having traveled from Maui to Taiwan (an 18-hour time difference), it took a little adjusting to, especially given I had never practiced Kundalini Yoga before EVER! We drove a couple of hours from the Taiwan airport to a spa and sculpture park. New Era Art Resort and Spa up in the mountains near Nantou.
