Guilty by Association
After telling you about my decision to trust a group of people, whom others around me deemed unworthy of respect, I think it essential to expand on the part of the story that saw me disowned by friends and family. I wish I were exaggerating by using a form of the verb disown to refer to my experience, but I'm not. My attitudes and choices surrounding these events were openly repudiated by some of the people I once considered close.

If you have read my work, and the book I "promoted" in my last story, you already know what I think about conventional wisdom; that's right, it is merely too traditional, and incomplete. The conventional part should, by definition, make us all think twice about the value it attempts to bring to our experience.

It has been two years since my last story, which means I have, once again, broken my promise to keep my writing consistent on all platforms. I do not want to imply that I have stopped writing altogether, only that my hand has been occupied with a project that demanded focus. Since my last post here, I have published a book and come very close to a second volume about an event of great significance in my life - even if I lacked awareness of that significance until recently.
