Losing You
I wondered what my life is without you in it. The trembling of my hands as I try to grasp your cold ones. My scarf muffling the cries of anguish. "I can't do this without you. I can't live without your skin against mine, your hand entwined with mine, your breath against mine." I whisper against your chest, as it exhaled slowly. I needed you there to comfort me and tell me everything will work out fine, but you weren't here.

The City and You
It's hard to imagine living anywhere but here. Where City meets the urban dream. I can hear the rumblings of the highway, and yet in the bright colours of the morning, I hear birds chirping. A skunk visits my backyard, however so do the honking of cars speeding by. A city full of people and all I wanted was you. I wanted the smile that spread across your face, as I walked into a room. The crinkle on your forehead you get when you're stressed. The dark circles under your eyes the morning after a long night. The way you get annoyed at me when I can't make up my mind. All I wanted was to be in a crowded room staring at you. My love for the city never compared to my love for you.
