Student @Sheridan College
Honours Bachelor in Creative Writing & Publishing 2023
I love reading, writing stories, giving feedback, and helping other writers with their creative work. Once I graduate, I want to teach, write and edit!
An Ode to the People
I love my job because it shaped who I am today. Is my answer too cliché? Yeah, I think so too. To be honest, I’m quite fed up with my job. But when you look at the big picture, I’ve quit and got re-hired twice… so that says a lot (both about me and about the workplace).
The Good Things
“Sweetie, get ready. It might be our time.” “It’s still dark mom, just like it has been for the last forever.” Kids can be so dramatic, thought Kathleen. She sighed. “Just look up. Right there. Don’t you see a little glimmer?”
No One Can Know
“Do not touch that.” Caleb just stared back at me, then continued climbing up onto the chair. “Please, Caleb, don’t.”
“Catherine, stay close.” Catherine and Eliza followed the natural pace of the crowd, the one set by museum and travel tour guides, by tourists, by art fanatics, and by students doing their assignments. The two girls were all and none of those things. They loved art, were tourists, were students, but they were not there for assignments. They were there for jobs.
Plot Outlines: A Glimpse Into my Creative Process
From the moment a plot idea is born to the moment it is being published, a lot goes on. The longest section of this is definitely the editing process, but that’s not what most beginners struggle with. Often, they struggle with getting organized and actually getting a few pages written.
Prompts of the Week
Hi everyone and welcome to a new week of writing prompts. I’ve officially started working full-time for the summer, but that won’t stop me from sharing prompts with you every week, nor from sharing my own take on some of the prompts.
About my Mother
Yes, it’s Mother’s Day. Yes, it’s the reason why I’m writing about my mother. And Yes, I do appreciate her every single day, not just on this special occasion.
I’m an open book, I’ll tell you what you need. Read me long enough, and you’ll see right through me. I’m transparent, I’m a crystal ball.
