G.D Anderson once said that: "Feminism isn’t about making women stronger. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength."
Covid-19:In store versus online shopping
Are you an avid shopper? Do you have a therapeutic experience walking down the supermarket aisles? Then you might be having some dilemma with this pandemic. You might be thinking of making serious adjustments to the way you shop.
TO MY DARLING STOREKEEPERS
I see you when I walk into the store. You stock away at those shelves so dutifully. You appear oblivious to the current pandemic. Not because you don't care but because you have chosen to play your part. Oh, and that smile that comes like the cherry on the cake. Thank you.
There are not very many things that stick with me year to year. Many things seem to be in flux. Music is one exception. It hasn’t gone anywhere. That’s my catalyst for getting chores done, my means for escape when ‘it gets too much’, and my gateway to prayer. It seems to make things better and easier. See You Soon
Where on earth did this extra 3 inches come from? The increased girth around my midsection? Yes! I am referring to my expanded waist and hip-lines! A couple of months ago, I was worried something was wrong with me. Why? I am a foodie, never skipping meals with persistent late-night snacking. No weight gain to show. I was as slim as someone on a dedicated restrictive diet. As a healthcare personnel, I have the tendency to diagnose myself with all sorts. I had no qualms pinning labels to myself as proof of my loving relationship with food and no weight gain to show. Now I had the extra weight and I was mortified!
Who Said Noodles Were Boring?
Certainly not me, as over the years I have mastered a recipe that still gets me excited thinking of it. Looking for a spicy quick fix, long before the hunger pangs give you a beating, look no further. Our goal is to make spicy noodles. We will garnish with butter, prawns, gizzard, and mixed vegetables.
A book I'll never forget
Sometime before the shutdown, I was at the library and I did something unusual. I walked through the 'aisles' between bookshelves and took note of what books were in stock. This was unusual because typically I go with my laptop and other materials. I get my work done and leave thereafter. However, on this fateful day, I found myself browsing through aisles until I was in the health and wellness section.
Reflecting on My Mental Health Class Part I
On my first day in class on the 4th of May 2020, I found myself asking why I had not done this course sooner. It dawned on me that it takes time and effort to understand a system before thriving in it.[I had moved to Ontario 2 years earlier after practicing as a physician in Nigeria].
