In fact, a 2020 poll by market research firm Ipsos revealed that more than 50% of Americans are attempting to reduce weight, with the majority doing so by eating more healthfully or reducing their food consumption. And a prior study, which was released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in November 2020, suggested that the low-calorie or weight-loss diet was the most popular eating strategy among participants, followed by a low-carb diet, a diet for managing diabetes, and a low-fat or low-cholesterol diet.
