“Are You Ted Rowley’s Son?” My oldest brother paused in sipping the drink he’d just received in the hotel bar. Tim had stepped away from the wake that we, a large Hyberno-British Romanichal family, were holding in a function room a few steps away from the general use booze chamber.

Red, Bread, Incineration
“I swear by all the gods, if you little buggers don’t clear out of my stores…” a deeply flustered Rej Prim bellowed at the handful of wyvern who were scuttling about his flour bins. Germaine Street - Chapter Seven
Gudrun opened her eyes, pale and aquamarine as the walls of the Vatnajökull caves, and yawned. To her left PhinFlam stirred slightly and mumbled something about thorns and furrows in Gaeilge Ársa. Itsuki had joined them around 2 am and had chosen the form of a young man with flowing green locks and silvery skin for the rest of their conscious time.

Germaine Street - Chapter Four
Like their parents and older sister, Randolph, Connor and Shawn Rirsen had noticed the new neighbors. Unlike Kitty, Tobias and Lizzie, the triplets were 14 and had been especially observant of the fact that the new neighbors were mostly comprised of girls.
