Lost in Nunavut
This happened a few years back, I was with the military then. I was posted in Brandon, Manitoba for a while and every winter my corps would train for Winter Operations. As those of you who have been in CFB Shilo and Brandon during the cold season know, the temperature can fall as low as −46.7 degrees Celsius (−52.1 Fahrenheit).
"Has she been doing it again?" I heard the orderly’s annoyingly raspy, whisper of a voice, ask his colleague outside my door. They always talk like I’m not here, it’s like I am a ghost to them. The worst part is that blasted Radio I always hear playing from somewhere. Day, night, always playing...something.
