It all started when I was 19. A neighbor had given me a beagle puppy that didn't want to stay with him and always came to me, but little to my knowledge, he had fed it rat poison and it only lived a couple days. Fast forward a couple months, and I was still heart broken and lonely, I lived on my brothers couch, and his wife convinced me to find a dog on craigslist for free that needed a good home. During this time I was between jobs, making gas money buy selling homemade bath salts, soaps, and bath bombs. She said that she used to be homeless, and having her dog Kia was what encouraged her to strive and push to find work and make a better life; so away to the computer I went, day in and day out, endless scrolling to find what seemed like a good dog.

Integrity Funeral Home - In the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic
Crystal walked up to the front doors of the old building and looked around, taking in the majesty of the craftsmanship, and the feel of everything that happens behind the door. This was the first day of her new job, and what felt like the start of something new. She reached out and grasped the door tightly and gave a large tug, released the large wooden panel from its jam and reveling the soft and sensitive decor that lay beyond it. A gentle fragrance of cinnamon and vanilla welcomed Crystal to her new life.

Satiated
Amber sat alone on the cold autumn playground. Children running and laughing around her; happy giggles permeate through the wind paired with the sound of the metal playground equipment. She laid her back against the old oak tree. Her light auburn hair sticking out of her black hooded sweatshirt and had fallen over her pale tear-stained face as she hung her head down. The cool wind blew gold and red leaves around her, chilling her bones and causing her to bring her knees up to chest.

Temporarily Handicapped Part 1
First things first, I am not a small woman, and with that being said, having an accident that makes you wheelchair bound is not easy. People judge you immediately without looking, asking, or even simply caring. People are judgmental and quick to jump to conclusions, this is, of course, human nature and everyone does it.
