EIDOLON - Part 4
Where am I? I couldn’t see further than a meter in front of me. The term darkness didn’t do it justice--I was surrounded on all sides by an expanse of black nothingness. It was empty, void of life or light, but oddly enough I didn’t feel afraid. I was just as empty, emotionless. Calm.
The Music That Kept Me Going
We've all been through that phase; those crucial developmental years when nothing holds meaning and our hormones drive our parents to the brink of shipping you off somewhere. I myself was a bit of a trouble child in middle and high school, but the latter institution was when things took a turn.
The Evolution of Me
"What's your favorite color?" A staple question from everyone's childhood; A cliché icebreaker with an open-ended answer.

Weird: Book of Secrets
CARI Arion beamed at me. “You know me? I’m honored!” A muscular senior stood beside the pterippos, towering over our table. His eyes were an icy blue, piercing into mine from beneath straight white bangs. He reminded me of an anime character, or something straight out of a comic. The pin on his left lapel was a white lunar spiral, the same as Arion’s and Jett’s.
Lizzie's Diary - Entry 15
Thursday was when things started changing. It started when Gabby and Benji came to lunch without Koji. He had skipped school again, only this time he hadn’t said a word about it to either of them. He also wasn’t answering his phone, which was weird--we had all become attached to these foreign devices, so even after a couple days we knew that Koji taking longer than fifteen minutes to text back was not the norm. Tawni was working on another project, Kaine was expected home as soon as school let out since he stayed out Tuesday night without permission, and I had promised Marilyn I would cover her babysitting shift this week, so Gavin was going to go with the freshmen to visit Koji and make sure everything was okay.
Guided By Dreams
It was the year 2141, and it had begun as just a normal day. Gavin roused from his slumber at sunrise. His friends were always teasing the teenager for going to bed an hour or so after sunset, saying he rose and fell with the distant star. It was never an intentional thing--he did not set alarms to get up so early, nor did he see the sun going down and decide to retire along with it. It was instinctual, a reflex. As easy as breathing, or using his hands; he just never really thought about it.

Mid-Night Meal CARI As I had suspected, the courtyard where Mid-Night Meal was held was buzzing with students. I was able to pick out the usual cliques: the athletes, the academics, the artists, the musicians. Some students floated between two or more, and few even kept to little groups with no discernible label. All were discussing their schedules, assignments they had already received, their adventures over the break, and gossip.
