The Controlling Fear
That night was the night that changed my life forever. Changed my view on men and even changed the way I walk around town. I would have never gone to that dance if I knew what was going to happen. Now, every time that I see him, my body goes cold and I struggle to catch my breath. That monster ruined my life for good and there is no changing that now. I just wish that someone would believe me when I tell them the truth about him.

Unnoticed
This story begins with a sad beginning, with a mom dropping off her little girl at school that morning. The school day went on and on leading to the freedom from school, as the bell rings and all the kids run out the front doors to breathe in the summer air. All the chatter of the middle schoolers as they get their yearbooks signed and say goodbye to their friends and teachers. This only leads to a little girl, named Sara, walking home alone from school with a smile on her face, excited that summer was just beginning. That only changed as soon as she walks in the front door calling for her mom. Every inch of Sara’s body was excited to tell her mom about her day, but there was an eerie silence throughout the house. Calling out for her again, but again no reply as fear was starting to enter her thoughts. Sara started by searching the kitchen, nothing. Searching the living room, nothing. The last idea that entered her mind before it went completely numb was to look in her room. Sara walked slowly and cautiously into her mother’s room only to find her mom laying on the floor with blood soaking the carpet underneath her, not able to see her face. Sara dropped to her knees not sure what to do as all the emotions came in like a wall of bricks hitting her with full force. Tears fill her eyes as she slowly crawls on her hands and knees, closer to her lifeless body. More and more of it coming into view, as she saw a pistol in her mother’s right hand. In shock, Sara couldn’t process everything that was happening right before her eyes. Just staring at her body as Sara sat by her head and began to stroke her hair as her mom used to do for her when she couldn’t sleep and allows the tears to stream down her face.

Letter to Self
February 22, 2019 Dear Younger Self, You may not know who I am yet, but you will in a few years if you don’t take this advice to heart. Life can give you trials and challenges and if you don’t go through them the right way, you can end up in a place that doesn’t have a happy ending. So please, I beg of you, don’t be stubborn right now. Just put down your wall and listen to the advice I have for you. This will help you so much in the future if you take what I have to say to heart.

Suicide Awareness
For the last year and a half, I have had a lot of my close friends give up hope. Many of them tell me that their lives aren’t going to get better. Every single one of them fears that they would be judged by everyone around them if they just simply asked for help.

Anxiety Speech
All over the world, people suffer from anxiety, but what actually is anxiety? There are people who do not exactly understand or know what it is like to have an actual anxiety disorder. Frankly, a lot of people accidentally confuse anxiety with panic attacks or even just nerves. When it comes to tests a lot of the time people will say that they are having test anxiety. Anxiety isn’t that simple.

Killing Spree
Stabbing the knife deep into her side, continuously pulling my hand up with the knife and forcefully pushing it back down. Seeing the dark red blood drip onto my fingers. I tightly grip the handle harder as I slide the knife out of her lifeless body. Feeling my body, I instantly stand up and slowly walk out of her house as if I were in a trance. The blade slowly dripping of her red blood all the way to her door and down her front steps. Beginning to shuffle my bare feet one at a time on the rough asphalt road all the way back home. Not breaking out of the trance, I opened the door of my messy home and went to the kitchen, starting to feel my blood stained clothes beginning to stick to my body. I pull off my shirt and gently wipe my bloody hands on it. Bending over I slipped my pants off and throw them in the trash, along with my bloody knife. I scrubbed my hands raw, sliding new clothes on as I crawled back in bed falling into a deep sleep.

Schizophrenia Awareness
Today I am going to talk about a mental health disorder that a lot of the time gets misunderstood. When it comes to this mental health disorder, people always think about the worst cases, but what about the others? Schizophrenia is a mental health disorder that many people don’t know about. In my opinion, we need to talk more about it and bring more awareness to this mental disorder. I would like to bring it to the light for others to learn about. I’m only 16, so please don’t hold me accountable if I get some of these facts wrong. I am just talking about the information I could find.

The Dead Man
I was driving on a country road on my way to a friend’s house. It was in the middle of the night and I was almost there. When I looked in my rearview mirror, I saw a strange figure in the back seat. I almost jumped out of my skin. I settled down and decided it was just a figment of my imagination so I just kept driving. Two hours later. I looked back once more. I saw the figure again, but more clearly this time. I could see that the figure was a middle-aged man. But that is all I could see of him. After that, I immediately pulled over.
