Marigolds in My Mailbox
Every Sunday, I find a marigold in my mailbox. Marigolds were my neighbor's favorite when I was a little girl. Mrs. Peters would always bring me a big bundle from her garden once they were in full bloom, and I would always sit them in the same clear vase in front of my window to make sure they got enough sun. Receiving those marigolds was the highlight of my summer. To thank her for them, I always made her cookies - double chocolate. The marigolds would be hand-delivered by Mrs. Peters, but the cookies were always left in her mailbox.

I woke up earlier than most people on this Sunday morning. Around 12 pm, I headed to TJ Maxx to return a mattress pad. I bought a new blanket from Target.
