What Foods Have Been Proven to Help Your Brain Stay Young?
As people's lifespans lengthen and more people live into their 80s and 90s, cognitive decline becomes a major worry. Cognitive decline has been linked to a variety of diseases, and the risk of mental decline has been linked to a variety of lifestyle variables, including poor food, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle.

What Exactly Is Organic?
Organic food is an ongoing debate that I've had with practically every "clean eater" I've ever met. Almost everyone who attempts to eat healthy makes the decision to become organic at some point. It's better for the environment, and removing all those harmful chemicals must be beneficial for your health.

Generosity
Recently, I've been thinking a lot about altruism. If people exercised benevolence and empathy as a skill, Zaki projected that this propensity would last until the coronavirus pandemic. "I think the length, the sheer duration of this tragedy, the fact that we're all locked in this new normal together," he continued, "gives us the opportunity to form shared ties that could last a very long time."

Some advices for a short-term memory
I have a hard time remembering things. It's not impossible — I have no issue recalling grocery lists and other banal stuff — but individuals will occasionally bring up conversations or events from years ago that I am completely unaware of. My mother, who is in her sixties and should, statistically, have a worse memory than I do, recently reminded me of my short-term memory loss when she remembered a previous Thanksgiving spent with my family by my college roommate. This is something I don't recall happening to me. I honestly thought my mother was lying until she showed me photos of the two of us baking pies together in my parents' kitchen.

I'll give you some pointers on how to breathe effectively when jogging
Sometimes I forget how important breathing is when I'm jogging. When one of my friends texted me to ask about breathing while running, I realized that it had become a normal part of my running rhythm, and I hadn't given it any thought. I recalled getting side stitches and being out of breath after just a half-mile run. I was reminded that losing your breath can be a major roadblock to running success. Whether you're a top athlete or a beginner runner, effective breathing practices can help you improve your performance.

Habits are like shortcuts for your brain
Have you set any objectives or goals for 2022? Neither do I. I must admit, however, that I've never been particularly successful at sticking to New Year's resolutions. I've attempted to learn to play the guitar at least a half-dozen times with little success, and any attempts to avoid sweets over the years have failed miserably. But I also haven't been putting in the effort — I've never tried to turn a resolve into a habit using what I've learned about the brain.

Your brain, like nearly all complicated machinery, is powered by electricity
Your brain, like nearly all complicated machinery, is powered by electricity. When a neuron fires to communicate with another neuron, a little burst of electricity travels through the cell, powering the message. These electric pulses are used by scientists to monitor and track brain activity, and this study has contributed to a lot of what we know about how different brain regions work.

Try to spend some time with your kids
A new study ties screen usage in young children to brain alterations and poorer language development. But, before you freak out, parents, take note: Experts, including the study's author, believe it's due to the activities that screen time is replacing rather than the iPads themselves.

Different styles of meditation for your mind
Meditation is one of the most common pieces of advise for dealing with pandemic stress. This isn't a novel or revolutionary suggestion; mindfulness meditation has been suggested for years to help with stress, burnout, anxiety, and depression. However, now that many of our usual coping techniques have been curtailed, meditation is receiving more attention than ever as a healthy mood-boosting activity. What is the reason for this? What is the brain's magical impact of focusing your thoughts and paying attention to your breathing?

Protein boosts feelings of fullness more than fat or carbs
Three so-called "macronutrients" make up the human diet. Fats, carbs, and protein are the three types. Protein is made up of chains of amino acids that the body requires to build, repair, and maintain muscle and tissue. It can come from plants or animals.

Your dog despises your hugs, so please don't give them to him
There's no doubting that dogs are adored by their owners. We make tiny sweaters for them, feed them gourmet snacks, kiss their wet noses, and even put them in our bubble baths (I so wish that was not a personal reference). While embracing your dog makes you feel wonderful by releasing the hormone oxytocin, your dog has a very different reaction.
