Healing in LA, in a Galaxy Far, Far Away
Los Angeles is so special to me. You have the mountains and the hills, the ocean, cafes, the limelight of Hollywood, the history of freedom and equality, in particular, California was the first state to adopt rights for the disabled and I have to say, in Los Angeles, I feel the most at home and the most free. I know these feelings stem far beyond this lifetime, because from the moment I landed in Los Angeles for the very first time, I felt at home. As a person with a degree in theater design and creative writing, and experience in film editing of course LA has the Hollywood appeal but my love for the city, far exceeds those highlights.

To Be Worthy
Two spiritual healers from France that I had the pleasure of first meeting at the Expo in Los Angeles came to Florida. I had the pleasure of watching them do their work, as they integrate the divine consciousness into the physical body of the person who they pray for, to help an individual actualize consciousness of their divine potential from their light within. They do the healing sessions in large groups, and then offer individual sessions. Because I am blessed with the gifts of seeing auras, I can not only feel the vibrational palpitation of the energy they are channeling through, I can perceive the energetic changes the individual is receiving from the healing. As each individual in the group session first stands in front of Jean Michel, he prays asking that their higher self receive exactly what is needed. At this moment, you see the activation of each chakra in the person’s body open up and align, allowing for a perfect energetic balance. Then the person proceeds to stand in front of Mary Ann, his wife, who calls in divine feminine energy, to heal the individual, creating the perfect harmony between the masculine and feminine energies of Mother and Father Divine. The first time I went up to have the prayers done, and receive both of the energies, my friend said that I literally lifted off my wheelchair. The vibrational experience from the calibration of the divine energy, is so high, I felt as though I had walked into an energy field that surrounded me in a warm blanket of love. I was lucky enough to receive a private session from these teachers. It begins by Jean Michel doing the prayers, allowing for your heart center to open up, to receive energy and healing for your highest good. Then, you are able to ask questions about anything you like. Before the question portion begins, Jean Michel has you draw a card to tell you which ascended master is a constant guide for you, indicating what a large portion of your divine purpose entails. I drew Paul the Venetian, a guide for creativity, indicating that much of my life purpose would be expressed through writing. Then, whatever question you want guidance about, it is rephrased to, “how does Spirit feel about __________?” Again, you draw three cards. If within those cards, there is something negative like a guilt card, Jean Michel uses his energetic antennae to clear out the vibration of that blockage around the issue you are asking about. He continues to do that until you have all positive cards about the subject, allowing him to know when enough healing has been done. Needless to say, this time with Jean Michel and Mary Ann was amazing and lasted about two hours, so that I could get a whole picture of things that concern me, and have whatever was needed to be cleared to reach the highest potential in that area. Jean Michel spoke in French while Mary Ann translates and takes notes on the session for you, all the while providing insight. After the personal session, I had the honor to attend another group session, and do a brief commentary about what was seen energetically as the work was being done. To help them in any capacity is a huge honor. Like anything that is worthwhile, the process of this integrative healing was not easy. I woke up the next morning, with hives, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, and feeling like I had a horrible flu times 10. I soon understood that this process was the detoxification of my physical body trying to integrate the divine vibration of the energy he channeled through, to heighten my awareness. With that being said, I would do it all again, because I have an inner peace, knowing, and understanding I did not have before.

Family Systems View of My Life as a Young Woman With Cerebral Palsy
At some point or another just about everyone tries to make some sense of his or her own life. In the busy world that most of us live in today, it is a blessing that we can stand on the shoulders of psychologists like Urie Bronfenbrenner, who provide a framework that allows us to examine our life from a developmental standpoint in a methodical way. As stated in the fifth edition of The Developing Person Through the Life Span, Urie Bronfenbrenner, a developmental researcher, created a developmental theory known as the Ecological Systems Theory. This theory proposes that each person is significantly affected by interactions among a number of overlapping ecosystems. These systems include the microsystem, the mesosystem, the exosystem, the macosystem, and more recently he added the chronosystem. The microsystem is the primary component to this theory, and for a child it involves the family, peer group, classroom, neighborhood, and for some, a place of worship. The next component is the interwoven relationship, or cooperation of at least two members in the microsystem. For example, if a parent meets with their child’s teacher to help the child, the mesosystem is at work.

All in a Day’s Work
No matter how long I've been working with Spirit, I am constantly amazed by the daily miraculous occurrences and life lessons I am lucky enough to be a part of. Just the other day, I was doing a reading and the client wanted mediumship, which was such a relief because there were family members who were in heaven and in line, in the room with me all at the same time, wanting to speak with her. To my surprise, most of the family members waiting for her were speaking fluent Russian and Yiddish. Before I even had time to concern myself over how I would understand them, my main guide, Robin, stepped forward, making her presence felt much more than usual, to the point that I could see her the same as if I were looking at someone here in the physical world. She was wearing a beautiful, baby blue, full-length dress. Her long, chocolate brown hair was flowing back off her neck, as if wind was blowing in front of her, and something that I rarely see, her wings were stretched at full-length, hovering over everyone in Spirit, and myself. Because of her strong presence and her blue dress, I knew she was going to serve as a translator. Blue is the color that relates to the throat chakra and communication. She then eloquently began speaking fluent Russian and Yiddish to converse with the loved ones in Spirit. There was a grandmother, father, grandfather, uncle, and aunt in Spirit. The client was actually on the phone, so I had to explain to the client that the brief pauses were to allow my guide, Robin, to converse with them and then translate to me.

A Dream Come True
(I wrote this in April, 2016) It’s been such a long time since I felt inspired to write because my life has consisted predominately of feeling sick, going to the hospital, getting treatment and coming back feeling worse during the battle for my life. Even so, overall I’m still a happy person; I pray a lot, listen to music and use makeup to keep myself sane and inspired. I love all types of music, and music has been a part of my life since I was very little in huge way. At age five, I started taking voice lessons at the YMCA, realizing very early when I was singing that it didn’t matter that I was in a wheelchair. People saw my heart, they didn’t assume that I wasn’t intelligent, they didn’t care that I couldn’t run across the playground; they saw who I really was inside, not differences. Music helped me get through a whirlwind childhood filled with a sick mother who was a prisoner of multiple addictions. It wasn’t long before I started entering voice competitions to earn money for food and for what I called my "just in case money stash" to give me a sense of security to care for me and my sister. Those circumstances put a lot of pressure on me to succeed, but instead of concentrating on that pressure, I made it a game against myself to always keep improving.

Meeting Jessie J
In my bed night after night listening to music to make everything alright. Losing my mind on a tiny era that wasn't so tiny after all. Music was always there a voice a friend who answered my call tackling everything big or small with melodic hope. Or whatever I needed to cope sometimes just to dance a vibrational trance to get a brief break for my sanity's sake.

Billie Eilish an Artist for All Ages
Billie Eilish is controversial—either people love her music or they don’t like her because they think she’s too dark. I love her as an artist. Her lyrics are amazing and yes, some of them tend to be dark but that’s OK because somethings in life have a darkness like the cancer I have been fighting for over 6 years. Although, when you expose and express those difficult experiences and put that in music you’re bringing it light to help people not feel alone and relate to bring them out of the darkness. Her song "Bury A Friend" for example has a very dark vibe resembling a horror movie; however, when you dissect the song you can recognize that it has a very interesting structure, catchy hook, and can actually be applied to a variety of circumstances in life as any good song should. The line in the song "I want to end me" is so therapeutic for me to sing in terms of wanting to end the part of my existence battling cancer. By no means do I want to end my life, just acknowledging the desire to end the part of me riddled with cancer and in essence, that's what a lot of my life has been about over these last six years trying to eradicate the monster cancer that lives inside myself. "Bury A Friend" became a kind of anthem to acknowledge my efforts to do so, creating a sense of freedom by saying the words out loud.
