Baker's Dozen: Comfort Movies 2021
I hope I'm not wearing out my welcome with all these "Baker's Dozen" lists this month, but the more I think about the things I've enjoyed this year, the more I decide, "yeah, that sounds like a fun one!" Since I've already covered my 2021 Spotify Wrapped list, my favorite podcasts and YouTube channels in 2021, and even covered my top 13 cannabis strains, I guess it should come as no surprise that I'd think to make a Baker's Dozen of my top 13 comfort movies in 2021.

One Step at a Time
10,000 steps a day; it’s been my goal for over five years using Garmin. But long before that, I was already making huge numbers of steps in a day - they just weren’t recorded. I would wake up in the middle of the night to pace growing up, as it was the only time I really had to myself. I wrote all about that here. I never grew out of it, though now I am able to freely walk about the house at any hour.

Anticipation
I’ll do it, but I can’t deny that I am second-guessing, well... everything. It’s one thing to consider to myself that I have more issues than I’ve led myself to believe for years on end; I have dismissed signs, minimized dark thoughts, told myself “it’s just a bad day”. Except… So many days are bad, back-to-back-to-back.

Baker's Dozen: Cannabis Strains I Loved in 2021
I've written about some heavy things this year. About family drama and past trauma. But I have also enjoyed creating a few "Baker's Dozen" lists lately that have been a dose of fun to combat those heavier, serious themes! From songs off my Spotify Wrapped list, to podcasts, to YouTube channels, I've been enjoying spending my time on some more carefree posts for the end of the year! Naturally, I wanted to create one for cannabis strains I've enjoyed in 2021!

Baker's Dozen: YouTube Channels I Loved in 2021
After creating Baker’s Dozen lists for my Spotify Wrapped playlist and podcasts I loved in 2021, it seems fitting that I should also create one for YouTube channels I loved this year! Why not, right? I’ve been having fun! Below, I introduce my 13 choices for my favorite YouTube channels in 2021! Unlike the podcasts list, the YouTube selection is a little more varied; there’s still crime and mystery to be had, but also channels that cover natural history - animals and evolution - therapy, and character and world development for writers and filmmakers! So let’s get to it!

Baker's Dozen: Podcasts I Loved in 2021!
With 2021 coming to a close, I thought it would be fun to create a Baker’s Dozen of the podcasts I found and listened to this year! Though I listened to more than just true crime, unexplained mysteries, and creepy tales of cryptids, I largely listened to these things, so the list is dominated by podcasts that cover these topics with little deviation. That said, let me introduce you to the 13 podcasts that defined my 2021!

Baker's Dozen: 2021 Beats in Review
It's that time of year again - Spotify Wrapped lists have been revealed! It would take far too long to go down all 100 of my top tracks this year; so how about a baker's dozen to describe my 2021? I have to admit, it was a tough choice to choose a mere 13 of these tracks! But I have, and here they are to tell you the story of my 2021.

Products I Tried in 2021
Generally, I wait until sometime in January to buy the first batch of items I’ve been eyeing for weeks online. This lets me see what I wind up with for holiday gifts as well as what funds I have to work with after holiday shopping. And gives me time to step away and reevaluate what I want to purchase.

The 3-Month Sleep Experiment (2021)
If you are new to this "experiment", I suggest reading at least "A Dreamless Sleep" and recommend also checking out part one, simply for context. "Night Walker" is also useful, as it details my previously nocturnal walking and insomnia issues in the past, but "A Dreamless Sleep" is the one I suggest if you read nothing else.
