I am lucky enough to have one of the most unique professions out there. It is one that gets me admission into some of the most secure places in the world, but only under certain conditions. I spend my days floating between researcher, leader, emergency responder, and writer. And I never, ever have the same day twice.

Tone-Deaf Influencer Marketing
If you play any type of mobile game, you’ve run into the problem of ads. Some are relatively unobtrusive, inserting themselves between levels. Some are totally invasive, disrupting the game flow on a regular basis and taking you out of the game completely. The ads that are my favourites are the ones that allow you to choose whether you’re going to watch them.

Get Ahead of COVID-19
Like restless children on a car trip, we've reached the point of the pandemic when we're all asking "Are we there yet?" We all want to reach the end of this pandemic and the restrictions that it has brought. We want to be able to go to the movies again, to walk through stores without masks and to gather with friends and families without worrying who will be the next one to become infected. Business owners and entrepreneurs are desperate to figure out when they can get back to normal, and what it's going to look like when they get there.

Up in Smoke
I can't remember the last time that I cooked over an open fire, at least not anything more than hot dogs or marshmallows. At one point, it was a regular occurrence, as much a part of my life as school, sleep, and cereal. Even though it's been years, the smell of an open fire still brings me back to those wonderful moments of family and community around an open fire.
