Weird Weekday Movies: See Jeffrey Combs Play a Talking Pile of Mold in 'Motivational Growth'
Have you ever been channel hopping on late-night TV and come across a movie so weird that you're instantly hooked? If not, then you're probably more adjusted than me. If you HAVE, then #MotivationalGrowth is the movie for YOU. A housebound weirdo vs. a talking pile of mold — sound good? Hang on to your hat as I take you within the bowels of this surreal #horrorbmovie.

Before 'TWD,' Norman Reedus Faced Horror in John Carpenter's 'Cigarette Burns'
If you're super fans of #NormanReedus on #TheWalkingDead, then you've patiently waited for his return in the second half of Season 7. Some of you out there can't get enough of his portrayal of bad-boy biker Daryl and have stated you'll even "riot" if he gets killed on the show. I personally love TWD and can't wait to see what happens in the latter half of the season; Negan's not going to be easy to beat that's for sure.

Why 'Beyond the Gates' Failed to Deliver a True VHS Horror Masterpiece
Hardcore horror fans of that bygone era where you could stroll into your local video store and pick up a couple of day rentals have no doubt heard of this film. #BeyondTheGates is a retro-feel movie set in the pre-digital era, and at first glance, looked to be a cult classic. However, after watching the movie myself, I have to say it fails to deliver on its promises and ironically has become yet another movie that deserves to become a deleted title, much like the low-budget horror that used to get churned out back in the '80s video boom. So hold and tight and let's reel through this movie and check out what holds it back from greatness.

See More 15 Second Horror Films That'll Creep You Out...
Another year and another round of short-horror-films created by many a #filmmaker for the #15secondhorrorchallenge 2016. Being a writer/filmmaker myself I had to give it a second go and produced several entries for the competition (see last year's shorts and awards here). I've got to say I personally prefer my efforts this time around as they benefited from all my experiences last year. Plus I long to create 'short and sweet' horror video's that leave the viewer wanting more, did I achieve that? You tell me, here's three more 15-second horror films to send shivers down your spine...

'Ash vs Evil Dead': Why the Second Season Finale Was Totally Un-Groovy
(WARNING: SPOILERS are a given, folks. If you haven't watched the Ash vs. Evil Dead Season 2 finale then beware) Like you, I've been a fan of the Evil Dead for a significant portion of my life. The movies were so bizarre they just instantly found a place in my horror-fueled heart. However since #AshvsEvilDead debuted on #Starz last year, I've had a sinking feeling in the back of my mind. I hailed the series for bringing back a character I never expected to see again, but perhaps I should have thought a little longer about what this meant for the series as a whole. After watching the Season 2 finale, as the credits rolled I was left with a sour taste in my mouth and I think it's time to open my Pandora's box of worries for the direction this franchise is heading.

Why the Original 'Woman in Black' Is Still One of the Most Influential Ghost Stories of Our Time
As far as restless spirits go, some are good and some are bad, but there are some that are quite simply pure evil. #TheWomaninBlack is one of the latter. Thankfully she's just a story written by the very talented author #SusanHill (I hope so anyway). The novel came out in 1983 and chilled readers to the core. Within 5 years it became a stage play that has become a regular production right up to the present. In 2012 #Hammerfilms released a big-budget adaption with #DanielRadcliffe that scared an entirely new generation of horror fans. However, the first movie incarnation deserves some recognition too.

See Jeffrey Combs Play Herbert West in the Steve Martin Comedy 'The Man With Two Brains'
Fans of the cult '80s horror movie Re-Animator will be a little surprised to hear about Jeffrey Combs role in the Steve Martin comedy Man With Two Brains, where he plays a somewhat more jovial version of his cult alter-ego Herbert West. Even stranger is that Man With Two Brains was released in 1983 and pre-dates Re-animator by 2 years. Now however, thanks to the power of the internet, you won't miss this strange crossover...

Do We Really Need a 'Pumpkinhead' Remake?
It seems that no 80's movie is safe from the remake machine these days, as news of the late Stan Winston's directorial debut Pumpkinhead is announced as going into production expecting a 2017 release. This is being made by one of the executive producers of the once mighty (and possibly soon again?) Saw franchise, Peter Block. Where it might seem like a fun idea to re-start this franchise I have to wonder if we really NEED another one.
