Ties That Bind - Creating Happiness Through Sewing
In my family, sewing has been an integral part of daily life for generations. Hand sewing or "snipping and stitching", a skill that lasts a lifetime, is an essential part of the homestead lifestyle. You never know when you will need to mend a torn seam or sew on a button. Besides, frugality and necessity often dictate making or mending something rather than the expense of a trip to town to purchase it at the store.

Talk To Me Momma - Building The Bond With Your Unborn Child
For the unborn child, the womb is a sensory playground. Pregnant ten weeks, a mother feels the first stirring of life in her belly as the baby begins to wiggle and stretch his limbs. Medical experts tell us that the fetus's hearing is well developed by the end of the second trimester. At 23 weeks, the baby begins to hear his mother's voice as well as other external sounds and respond to them. At this point in the pregnancy, he will start to taste the foods you eat and may even develop a particular favorite.

Thinning, Brittle Hair? Help Is On The Way!
L-Cysteine For Hair Growth Many people question whether the amino acid L-cysteine for hair growth has merit. It does, and the impact is significant. Amino acids are required for healthy hair growth. A study conducted in Florence, Italy, validated that premise. Thirty subjects with thinning hair were divided into two groups. One group was administered a potent mix of B vitamins and amino acids, including L-cysteine. The other group was administered a placebo. The research study was conducted over an 18-month period. At the end of the clinical trial, participants treated with the amino acid and vitamin supplement showed significantly more hair growth than the group that received the placebo.
