Swish and Flick: Fascinating Facts About Squirrels (and Their Tails)Top Story - March 2021
I'm an animal lover. I love pets and wild animals. I was a vegetarian for years because of animals. As a child, I loved watching Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel (remember Henry's Amazing Animals?). Years ago, during college, I even started an animal fan page. Unfortunately, as it happens, adulthood got very busy and I left some of my hobbies behind.

Royal Fever: 3 Things to Watch if you Liked "The Crown"
Please note: There are mild spoilers for "The Crown" in this article. - For the past two years, I was studying a Master's degree in London. Being a foreigner living in London, I was curious about all things related to the British Monarchy. I visited the Tower of London to see the Queen's Jewels, often walked through St. James' Park (next to Buckingham Palace) and watched the Royal Guard rehearsing early on Saturdays. I visited Windsor Palace and went room by room hooked to my audioguide listening to historical facts (you'll find that I'm a bit of a history nerd).

Every once in a while, it's nice to dig into our own knowledge and think about the rare and fascinating facts that we know... to share them with others, of course!

2021: No Resolutions. No Expectations
I wrote this article a couple of months ago for one of Vocal's writing challenges. However, I think many of the things I shared are still relevant today (already three months into 2021!). This is a space for honest writing and personal growth, so I really wanted to share these thoughts (if they can help a single person, then it's worth it)….

Photo Editing Tips for Beginners: Food Edition
I'm not a photographer. However, I do admire photography and I try to improve my photo skills, even if I'm only using the camera on my phone. I'm also a long-time baker and foodie, but I only recently started sharing my baking experiments with other people through social media, especially on Instagram. I quickly realized that the first challenge to post baking photos is making the food look attractive enough to grab people's attention. This involves taking decent pictures and doing some editing work to make sure that they look (a bit) more professional.

It’s Not Super Bowl without (this) Amazing ‘Guac’!
It’s statistically proven! Guacamole or ’Guac’ (like some people call it), is the queen food of Super Bowl. One of the most eaten snacks, and for me definitely the most delicious. Guacamole is one of the five favorite foods for Game Day, with about 12% of Americans' annual avocado consumption happening during Super Bowl week (Today Magazine, 2021). Every year more than 8 million pounds of guacamole are consumed during day of the Super Bowl in the U.S. (The Post Game, 2018). If you do a Google Search with the terms ‘guacamole’ + ‘Super Bowl’ you will find thousands of recipes with names like “Super Bowl Super Guacamole Bowl” or “Guacamole Footbowls” (which, by the way, look super cute!).
