Gaboon Viper
The Gaboon Viper, or Bitis Gabonica, comes from the rainforests and savannas of Sub-Saharan Africa and is one of the fastest striking snakes. They also have the longest fangs of any venomous snakes with fangs that are 2 inches long. Gaboon Vipers are considered to produce the most venom out of all the venomous snakes; a single adult has enough venom to inject lethal doses into 30 individual men. These snakes have enormous venom glands which produces the lethal amount of venom. Although a bite from a Gaboon Viper is rare because of their unaggressive nature; the Gaboon Viper normally does not bite unless they are stepped on and sometimes even then they may not bite. These snakes, like most venomous snakes, can lash out when scared.

Are Mermaids Real
Are mermaids real? Some people say no others say yes, this article will show some evidence that they might actually be out there. Our government has said they are not out there and not real, they have gone on record many times stating that mermaids are not real. But there are many videos of what seems to be mermaids; whether or not they are credible is not certain, but they are out there. There have been many sightings and other evidence as well, some people have recovered what seems to be spears stuck in the fish caught in the open ocean. Having no idea how they got there. Although this evidence exists, our government and N.O.A.A for whatever reason still denies that there may be mermaids out there. Though a lot of the evidence is inconclusive, such as the cell phone footage from the two boys who showed up on one of the whale beachings and found something that did not look like a whale but a body (is what the boys first stated) the government got involved they changed their stories. Other phone footage has come to the surface after the airing of Mermaids: The Body Found a show that was aired on Animal Planet back in 2013. Another show aired a few months after that which was called Mermaids: The New Evidence which was more of a talk show. This show did ask the hard questions and most of those questions were answered with video footage and scientific research such as DNA test done on a body recovered from the belly of a shark. The body, though only 30% of it, was some very important evidence. This and also sound recording of an unknown species of marine animal is what a N.O.A.A worker discovered. It was not long after this that the African government got involved confiscating the body and most of the evidence, the only thing that was given to the N.O.A.A worker, was the DNA test because it came back as human. After this the N.O.A.A worker left N.O.A.A and is pursuing a different job but is still working with marine animals. Like I said earlier in the article, new evidence has come to the surface. More videos have surfaced after the airing of Mermaids: The Body Found. One in particular depicts a small school of fish swimming past an oil rig one gets impaled by what seems to be a spear. Though the creature that grabs the fish is not fully seen because it swims past too fast to see, there are no marine animals that use spears to hunt and catch their food. Another video depicts what seems to be a mermaid or merman sunbathing on a rock while two men are looking down into the ocean to see it. One of the men records the encounter on their cell phone. This video has been on Youtube for 6 years and has been viewed 56 thousand times. The video filmed by the two boys has been on Youtube for 7 years and has been viewed 853 thousand times and the video of the fish being speared has been on Youtube for 6 years and has been viewed 1.7 million times. These videos depict the same creature it seems like but many people either do not see it or refuse to believe that they exist. These creatures if they do exist have become amazing at hiding and staying in the shadows, where they cannot be found and bothered. Now the real question that we should be asking ourselves is do we believe the evidence that has been brought to the light, and if not then what would it take to make us believe?

Life with Abusive Parents
Living with abusive families can really mess up a person. With a mom who is never there because of a man or work and a dad who bailed right after you were born, living with grandma and mom should be fun, right? Since mom is always at work or with a man, but no, it sometimes is not fun. At times it’s fine but at other times it is terrible. Grandmas are supposed to be loving and fun, but when you have an abusive grandmother, life can be hell. When she is always saying stuff like you can’t do anything right or you’re a hippo, life just isn’t worth living. It can be very hard to push through and continue living.

The Beast of Gevaudan
The Beast of Gevaudan was a man-eating wolf-like animal that killed over around 100 women and children and wounded 49 back in 1764-1767. The way this animal killed these was by tearing out its victims' throats, most of the victims were partly eaten. Most of the eye witnesses who were able to describe the beast as having formidable teeth and immense tail. They also said that the beast, on many accounts, was wounded but not dead, these injuries included shots at point blank range. This is what made many believe that this animal was a werewolf. Most people wanted to believe that it was a mythical creature rather than believe it was just a wolf because they could not kill it.

Facts About Elephants
Nowadays, people are taking away elephants and their habitats. People are poaching elephants for so many reasons but the main reason is for their tusks, which are ivory, which they use to make jewelry and pieces of art. Elephants will be going extinct if we do not take action to stop the poaching of elephants and help conserve their habitat. Every day, people are taking over the elephants' land and turning it into farms, which leaves the elephants no place to live.

Thylacine
Are Thylacine extinct or still alive? The Thylacine are also known as the Tasmanian Tiger. The Tasmanian wolf is a carnivorous marsupial that once lived in Australia and New Guinea. These animals were hunted to extinction by men because we thought of them as killers but there are no reports of a Thylacine attack on people. Also, these creatures are known to be very shy creatures. A marsupial is an animal that has a pouch that their joey stays in until they are a year old. The Tasmanian Tiger is a light brown dog looking creature that has black stripes on its back which is why the Thylacine is called the Tasmanian Tiger. Male Thylacines have a pouch that protects their testicles from harm during mating. The Thylacine has the widest yawn gap which enabled them to open their mouth wider than most animals.
