5 Movies that Will Give You HOPE
Here are 5 movies that I hope will give you... hope!!! 5. 'Philomena' (2013) Poster for Philomena movie In 1952, Irish teenager Philomena (Judi Dench) became pregnant and was sent to a convent. When her baby, Anthony, was a toddler, the nuns took Philomena's child away from her without her approval and put him up for adoption in the United States. For the next 50 years, she desperately searched for her son. When former BBC correspondent Martin Sixsmith (Steve Coogan) learns of the story, he becomes her ally and supporter on the journey of finding the long lost son. They travel together to America to find Anthony and become unexpectedly close friends in the process. Even though the movie is based on a sad, heartbreaking story it comes across as filled with love and positivity. It shows how important is focusing on the present.
