Why "Marvin's Room" Is a Timeless Masterpiece?
"Marvin's Room" is a story about two sisters, Lee (Meryl Streep) and Bessie (Diane Keaton), who reunite after twenty years of not seeing each other. Bessie is diagnosed as having leukemia, and she needs a relative whose bone marrow matches her own. Lee already has personal issues on her plate. Her oldest son Hank (Leonardo DiCaprio) is in a mental institution for having burnt down their house and half of the neighborhood. Bessie meets her nephews seventeen years later for the first time. She has spent twenty years taking care of her sick father (Hume Cronyn) and his lovely elderly sister (Gwen Verdon). Robert DeNiro plays Mr. Wally in the film- Bessie's doctor.

Shine Without a Valentine
Believe it or not but we owe Valentine's Day to the ancient Romans. I wouldn't be just speaking for myself, saying that we'd be much better off if they kept it in their era. Anyways, at the end of the 5th century, Pope Gelasius made it official that every year on February 14th, the world will celebrate St. Valentine's Day. So here we are, 1525 years later celebrating love with cheesy pig shape chocolate boxes and coffee mugs with sentences that deserve a creative jail time. People are desperately trying to make up for the lack of love they shared the other 364 days of the year. They buy gifts neither needed nor appreciated. They feel like everyone around them should celebrate too, and they fire arrows from their eyes like confused little cupids. The reality is, not everyone wants to celebrate Valentine's Day, whether it's because we don't have a significant other or maybe we hate the cringe of it all and the unnecessary pressure to be part of it. Valentine's is not for everyone, and it might be genuinely unpleasant for some of us. But there's a way around it- good music. Let's lift our spirits with this unique playlist made by me for us.

Sweet Life with The Suite Life
Sometimes you want to watch something funny and light with no elaborate plot lines of mysterious complexity. Sometimes you feel like watching something silly, imperfect, and cringy. If it makes you smile, why not? If it allows you to switch off for 20 minutes and have a laugh, I feel like it's a great thing to do. I never really liked the term guilty pleasure. That is just yet another phrase that makes people self-conscious about the things they enjoy. If you listen to Spice Girls, don't be afraid of people seeing it on your playlist just because it's a girl group. If Keeping Up with the Kardashians brings you joy, you binge that season. Or maybe you're obsessed with those online quizzes that tell you which kind of pizza you are? If they light up your mood, I say go for it.

21 Things to Remember in 2021Top Story - January 2021
As Albert Einstein himself said: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results." That, to me, slowly translates to- you can't start fresh with old habits. Getting rid of our bad habits is difficult and demands unforeseen courage and strength. Whatever your new year's resolutions are, or how you perceive a healthy lifestyle, here are some thoughts that inspire me to keep working on my wellness goals. I am sure they will motivate you too. (I have taken all the pictures used in the story.)

My Hometown Is a Feeling
I spent 19 years of my life in Gdansk (Tricity) before moving permanently to London. Every corner of this city reminds me of something. Every spot brings back specific childhood memories. Every beach entrance reminds me of a different struggle little me was facing back in the days. When I think of a particular street, I remember the last time I was there. I can feel the temperature, get into the exact mood, and almost feel how weirdly short my hair was.

The Odd Phenomenon of Micro HandbagsFirst Place in So 2020 Challenge
I genuinely feel like everyone should express themselves however they want, and honestly, if you feel like rocking a wool vest with sweatpants and crocs, you do you! I love fashion and all its weird and shocking moments, but all fashion lovers have their least favorite trends that they feel should have never happened. I think for many of us, it is the micro bag trend.

How To Make an Award-Winning Short Film From Scratch?Top Story - January 2021
The first and probably the most important thing is whether or not you are truly passionate about the film industry. A daredevil trying to get into this industry for profit reasons should consider a different career path.

Movies I got to FINALLY watch during the quarantine
One of my toxic traits is watching one of my favorite movies for the 40th time instead of picking something that I've never seen before. Quarantine seemed like a blessing in disguise to finally catch up on many of the movies from my watchlist. Here are some of them:

7 things to watch when you're stuck at home
1. Grace and Frankie (series) Lily Tomlin (Frankie) and Jane Fonda (Grace) in "Grace and Frankie" Grace and Frankie is one of my favorite shows. It's a Netflix original that has just been renewed for Season 7, which will unfortunately be the show's final season. It is Netflix's longest-running original series to date. The series follows Grace, a retired CEO of succesful cosmetic brand, and Frankie, a hippie art teacher. Grace and Frankie's lives are turned upside down when their husbands Robert and Sol announce that they are in love with each other and are leaving their wives.

You need it when the world goes crazy
The world we're living in turned into one big chaos within a few weeks. I mean, who would have thought at the beginning of 2020 that by now we would see borders closing, schools shutting down, people excessively buying pasta and toilet paper or canceled flights to anywhere in the world, but here we are... and this is the real world. How can you stay sane during this hectic time? How can we stay positive when 99% of the news shared by media worldwide is negative? Health is probably the most important thing in life. Without it, we wouldn't be able to enjoy any other aspects of living. Let's focus on our mental and physical well-being then, shall we?

Why 'Dead to Me' Should Be Your Next Must-Watch on Netflix
First of all... Linda Cardellini as Velma in Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) This was exactly my facial expression when I realized that Linda Cardellini is not only the star of Dead To Me, but also... Scooby-Doo, Green Book, and Legally Blonde. Scooby-Doo is such a childhood movie, and it's crazy that I didn't recognise Linda Cardellini in Dead to Me!
