Married Midwesterner who loves reading, writing, and cats.
Part-time daydreamer, full-time nerd.
Dancing dandelions, drowsy dreams,
Delicate dewdrops, dawn's dazzling deeds.
Dappled deer darting, dainty, deft,
Deep down dales, deserted, divest.

Serenading starlings swiftly soar,
Sapphire skies share silent stories,
Sinking suns signal solemn soirees,
Swaying shadows scatter, softly smothered.
I tried to hold it in; gut inflamed
My pants became tight, filled with shame
The ice cream I'd braved
But alas, I couldn't be saved
For my lactose intolerance was to blame!
I tried to catch my breath, but in vain
As I ran to the toilet in pain
The pizza I craved
As I realized I was gluten enslaved
Two lovers, with passion ignited,
Eagerly planned, so excited,
But as hands intertwined,
A surprise they would find,
A cat in the bed, uninvited!
A timid young couple, so smitten,
Together they planned, quite well-fitted,
But their first time, alas,
In the dark, with a gasp,
They found socks were both still unbidden!
I took a bite of pizza so fine
And thought it would be forever mine
But then came the twist
It didn't exist
I woke up, it was all in my mind!
A fellow once dined on a slice,
Of pizza, he thought it quite nice,
But a sly twist of fate,
Changed the course of his plate,
'Twas pineapple topping, his vice!
A young fellow named Jack was quite keen,
To sell off his cow for a bean.
He climbed the stalk high,
A giant he'd spy,
And now he's a hero, unforeseen!
On St. Patrick's Day, tales unfold,
Of saints and serpents, the legends retold,
But beyond myths, it's clear,
The message we hold dear,

In Ireland, where shamrocks did sway,
A shepherd made history, they say,
He drove out the snakes,
Through courage it takes,
So we toast to his feat on this day!
An adorable panda, so sweet,
With a penchant for bamboo to eat,
It tumbles and cuddles,
In fluffy bear huddles,
As their habitat faces retreat.
