Morning
I had been so tired lately, so I decided to take a vacation. I had been doing 40-to-60 hour weeks and was caught up with everything and there was nothing else but let it all go and hope for the best. I quickly called Dave and firmly let him know not put me on the schedule. As disappointed as he sounded, he knew I had to go. Holding me to my word of, "yes I'll come back." but I rarely ever did. If he would look at me as he once did before; I would have done anything for a rainy day, but it was not so, not a cloud in the sky. Pure Blue and Sun. To romanticize the "if" of Life simply takes your life.

Early Bird
My eyes Opened and there it was, bright and warm. Its brilliance and charming way of waking me, by simply making warm, made me smile. I laid there for a moment without wanting to move but to take it all in. The beauty of this city as the Sun Rise crystalized the morning due and it all seemed but a dream. For that one moment the world stood still and it was all worth it.

The Night
The rain gently tapped on the window as I sat in the warmth of my apartment. It brought back memories of his voice and scent. Oh how he liked the smelled of the rain, taking slow walks in it was what he liked doing. You know, going to some late night dinner for a piece of warm apple pie, in the rain. Romantic it was to me as I held on to his arm, feeling protected as we traveled through the empty wet streets of the city . Lights glistening across the wet concrete, the city sparkled in quietness.

Everything
I thought about this question, what I'm I thankful for? At first what surfaced was the everyday stuff, you know. Like having both parents, supportive family, my health and well as you can imagine the list goes on endlessly. Who knew, right? That 2020 would bring everything to a halt. A Pandemic of a killer virus know as Corona put a stop to our "normal" everyday life. I mean the entire world stopped. No school, all business closed indefinitely, and all humans quarantined. I think I just described a futuristic film made in the early 90s about world catastrophes but no, this truly is happening in real time. I am in it; we all are and the unknow is more certain than what anybody truly knows about what is going on.
