The Return of the Order: Act 28
Grell remained motionless. Raven held his hand, willing him to wake. Strange emotions surged through him as he watched the pale reaper. Raven's father had told him of the reaper's infatuation with him, of the time he had been forced to spend with the reaper, and the amusement it had given Ciel. Raven and Lilith has been raised to be wary of all reapers, but especially the red reaper. And, yet, in the library, at the moment that Grell had looked at him as they fought side by side, he had felt something new. Raven would have dismissed it as pure curiosity on his part had the draw to the reaper not been so strong. Then Grell had taken the blow from the scythe that had been meant for him. Had Grell not been so quick to move as the blade came forward it would have sunk deep in his chest, proving fatal immediately.

The Return of the Order: Act 24
Act 24: Open Wounds The manor was in complete disarray when they returned. Sebastian, now aided by Margaret, struggled to stabilise Grell and stop the bleeding from the wound. Lord Birch busied himself carrying fresh bandages and bowls of bloodied water to and from the kitchen. Ronald and Undertaker sat watching helplessly from the hallway only moving as the portal opened, ready in case anything other than Louisa and the twins should step through.

The Return of the Order: Act 22
Lord Birch and Margaret had been woken by the commotion that followed Grell’s initial arrival and Lilith’s distraught sobs. After being informed of Louisa and Raven’s departure and their possible destination, Lord birch had sequestered himself in his study. He sat his head in his hands as he contemplated the potential dangers that the pair faced. He had learned from Sebastian that it was his conjuring and binding of him that forbade Sebastian from entering the reaper's realm and standing beside his mate. Tears formed as Lord Birch replayed every turn he had made since his wife's death, each aimed solely at bringing her murders to justice, only each had further endangered others like her. Dragging Sebastian into this mess had only threatened his family and lead to the disappearance of a reaper of at least some importance.

The Return of the Order: Act 21
The open country passed by in a blur as Louisa, Grell, and Raven ran through the night. As London approached, they took to the rooftops, avoiding those that frequented the streets late at night. Arriving at Undertaker's shop, they leapt down and entered. The shop was quiet, light as usual by a single candle sitting on the table at the back of the main room.

The Return of the Order: Act 20
The next day began much like the day before; Lilith and Raven soon finished the tasks they had been set. Louisa and Sebastian spent much of the day pouring through the books written by Lord Birch's wife. Sebastian had been through them countless times, but he hoped that Louisa's fresh eyes might see something that he had missed. Something that would provide a clue to the identity of Birch's wife and her connection to the demon realm. There were no clues to her demon identity in the books she had written or in the likenesses of her that Lord Birch kept. Similarly, neither held any clues as to her reasons for choosing to live a human life.

The Return of the Order: Act 19
Silence fell upon Birch manor. Lord Malcolm and Margaret had retired for the night. There was nothing left for the twins or their parents to do. Sebastian and Louisa had disappeared to their room, and Raven had retired soon after. Lilith, however, was restless; thoughts of William had filled her mind since their first encounter, and those thoughts had become even more intrusive since they had come to London.
