Growing Up Beyond Poor.
I am grateful for running hot water to do dishes in. No more heating water over the stove, pot after pot, adding what felt like forever to dish time. No hauling jugs of water from the spicket to the house, gallon after gallon. So much work for a kid on a hot Arizona day. Nope, now I just walk up, turn on the faucet, hot water appears.

When I blink I don’t see the sidewalks or streets. I see tall grass, wildflowers, trees, a bunny. Blink There are no cars or fumes. Behind my eyes is the warm glow of the sun on the earth. I smell the strong scent of pine, dirt, and sweet hay.
Peanut Butter Jelly Time the Tripod Pup
The first puppy came very quickly, a tiny black bundle with flecks of brown, a pink tongue, and the tiniest little feet. You can already tell he was going to look just like his daddy. Time seemed to pass slowly, the waiting game for his little brother to arrive.
Here Comes the Sheriff
It was an average day at work for me at the cannabis lounge. The black table was clean and shiny minus a few industry stickers here and there. Lighters, bongs, rigs, alcohol wipes, q-tips, and dab tools are arranged in the center of the table on a lazy-susan. The papers were neatly arranged on a tray, all different brands to choose from, but Juicy Jay's are my favorite. It felt like a cotton candy paper kinda doobie, perfect for a wake-n-bake. Across the table was a regular who I toked with every morning before they headed to work.
My Job Was to Smoke Weed!
You would not believe how many times I’ve heard people exclaim “You have my dream job!” and I did. For seven years, it was my job to hang out and smoke weed all day long with tourists. It was the most unique and amazing experience I have ever had the honor to be part of. It took a pandemic to stop the party.
Her Name is a Secret
The cabinet door squeaked a long high pitch wail that echoed out of the bathroom, down the hall, and out the kitchen window, alerting her in the driveway. She glanced back towards the house, she would be caught if she did not leave now, right now. Her hand lingered on the gate, heart aching to bring her dog, but there was just no way. Unlatching the gate, hoping the rusty hinges won’t give her away, she quietly sprinted into the ally, rushing towards freedom. Anywhere was better than here with him and his dirty oil-stained hands, cracking nails, and sour breath.
THINKING OF MARRYING A NARCISSIST WORKAHOLIC?
There are so many articles out there about the negative aspects of being with a narcissist workaholic urging you to "save yourself and flee." I find these articles rude and a little heartless. I do not feel that a person with this personality type deserves to be alone or shunned by those who love them. I fell in love with a narcissist workaholic and he’s a perfect fit for me.
