2020 Rewind Playlist
This past year has been a roller coaster. With the many ups and downs while riding this roller coaster I would bury myself deep within my music. I find that music can be very therapeutic, helping enhance the many moods that might have been faced during this wild year.

The Power of Music
I'm often told that I have an eclectic taste in music. In fact, I'm told that at least once a week at work since I leave my Spotify account on shuffle in my office. Anyone that comes into my office almost always comments on the music that is playing.

Slow Cooker Apple Sauce
There's something magical about the slow cooker. You throw some food in it, turn it on and don't have to think about it for hours. Your house fills with the wonderful cooking smells with very little effort and then you're left with a delicious meal with very little clean up required. Now that’s my kind of meal. The slow cooker can make it all! Desserts, snacks, side dishes, soups, even whole meals!

Easy 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies
It seems at least one a week I am baking something. Whether trying out something new or making an old classic I find baking to be a relaxing and enjoyable task. These cookies are definitely an old classic and the fact that they only contain three ingredients is even better. In fact these ingredients are something that I generally always have on hand so it definitely makes the recipe a go to in my household, not to mention the fact that my spouse is a peanut butter fiend.

More Book Recommendations
These are the best books that I read in 2019. I didn’t read as much as I’d hoped that I would but out of what I did read, these are my favourites. I try to read a variety of different books every year, I’m sure that this list will reflect that.

Drop Biscuits
There's something about a homemade drop biscuit, fresh from the oven that just makes my day complete. Biscuits are delicious and extremely easy to make. The ingredients are staples that I always seem to have lying around in my pantry, which makes this recipe all the more perfect. Whenever I'm not sure what to make for supper, you can bet that these delicious biscuits come to mind. Maybe paired with some delicious soup. You can't go wrong with having these biscuits as part of your meal.

The Art of Saying Sorry
I’m a fairly emphatic person, heck, even when I play The Sims I don’t want to hurt them. I know there’s people that will do a lot of weird and awful things to their sims but I nurture mine to the point where it’s like they’re my children. I can’t even have them get in fights with each other or argue. But that being said, sometimes things can get misinterpreted and end up with hurt feelings.

Dumplings
It's that time of year again. The time of year where the snow is falling, things are becoming icy and cold. This is often know as sweater weather or hibernation weather but it could also be known as soup weather. Soup is one of the best ways to quickly warm up after a long day outside. Maybe it's the fact that I spend my days working outside and need a quick way to warm up at night or maybe it's the fact that I just really love soups and stews.

My Obsession with Food
This title may be a little deceiving. Yes, I do love food, not really to the point of obsession (though I'm sure my spouse will tell you otherwise). I have phenylketonuria, better known as PKU, a rare metabolic disorder in which phenylalanine cannot be digest. Phenylalanine can primarily be found in protein which means I cannot digest protein. People with phenylketonuria are treated with a low protein diet; being left untreated can result in seizures, brain damage, behaviour problems, and more. Since this is a serious disorder, it is screened for only a few days after birth, as to ensure treatment can be given right away.
