Hi, I come from a small town of 2,500 in Northern Ontario Canada. I love camping and fishing, which we have access to many beautiful lakes. I also knit, crotchet, sew, read and write. Our winters are very long and cold so crafting is a must

The sharp corn fields The sun was hot on this July long weekend road trip. I decided on short notice that I needed a brake from the city and pull my pop up camper to the lake a few hours away from the city. My plan was to set up camp, build a fire and read my favourite book laying in a hammock and watch the fireworks at night. I decided to only tell my mother about my much needed short vacation.

The underworld
The Underworld This is no space station, but it sure looks like one on the blueprints. The time its taking to build, the investors, the planning but now it is ready. I have been training for months with the crew of astronauts on how to manoeuvre around in big bulky suits floating. The skills learned at NASSA have been significant to the many hours of training.

The bubble
The bubble “Mother, why do we have to stay in this giant bubble? Look out there! Look at the birds flying! What do they sound like? Yesterday you told me those four legged animals are deer, they are so pretty! The trees are so huge, the grass so tall, why are they swaying and dancing?” Pointing beyond the glass bubble, wiping it from the condensation of my breath.

The tiger
The ground shook, the birds took flight, and I felt myself falling! All I can think of is axe! I reach into the side of my mountain gear, and grab the axe. Instinctively I reach out and the weight of all of my body shook in pain holding the axe, then my dangling legs trying to find something for my spikes to jab into.

Empty Nester
What does a parent do when their child leaves for College? Im sure every family that has children leave the nest go through many different stages! I have seen movies where the children come home and their bedroom is exactly how they left it! A shrine of their childhood.
