Len Jeffrey
I am 73 years old and got the bug to write late in life. It has been about a year and a half since I last wrote a short fictional story and now because of Vocal I got the 'urge' back again. To tell the truth, I like it!

THE WILL Jack sat back on his easy chair looking up at the ceiling. A refreshing late August breeze flowed in from the two large windows in his front room. His wife was at her sister's house for their weekly get-together. Jack turned on the CD player and the first track of relaxing music started to play.

THREE BLACK BOXES Meagan stirred from a deep sleep. With eyes still closed her immediate thought was, 'I hope it was all a dream'. But the more alert she became the sooner she realized that it was true.

WRITER'S BLOCK It's happening again. I cannot come up with a story idea to write about. My publisher is breathing down my neck and she's been calling me on the average of twice a week and I end up giving her a different excuse each time she phones. I think that it's time for me to look for a place to stay for a few weeks. A place with an entirely different 'feel', a different view. Plus somewhere quiet! It may just be another excuse of mine for not being able to write but I need quiet. I think I'll take my sister up on her offer of a month ago. I will start my story at the very beginning.

THE TIME BREACH What if our everyday lives aren’t as ordinary as we think they are? What if there is something more to this thing called ‘life’? Imagine if you will just for a moment that there is a parallel world mimicking everything that is happening here on earth. Imagine a planet closely ‘in tune’ with our earth and that there are two of every created things-one on earth and one on this duplicate planet. This would also mean that there is another ‘you’ out there. Now imagine what would happen if these two worlds were to go out of sync and there were an unexpected breach of some kind.
