The Numbers of Life
We all do it; the whole of society measures their lives by numbers. The numbers on the scales. The number of people we have sex with. The number of online friends (or enemies) we have. Riordan’s work has become so important to some readers that in social media sites such as Instagram there are pages dedicated to readers cosplaying his characters as they identify with them so much.
