I was on vacation when I read this book and all it made me want to do was plan more vacations. People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry is a perfect light read. However, fair warning, it WILL make you want to plan a vacation. Below is a brief summary followed by my thoughts and recommendation.

The Good Sister: 4 Stars
Fair warning, The Good Sister by Wendy Corsi Staub is a chilling psychological thriller that could be unsettling for some readers. There is teen bullying, murder, and child abuse. I'd highly recommend being prepared for all of this before reading. Having said that, below is a brief summary of the novel followed by my overall thoughts and recommendation.

"Yo, we're 10 minutes away." Kate's uber driver said. Kate groggily opened her eyes and sat up. "Thank you, I'm sorry I'm such a hot mess," Kate said smoothing back her hair and wiping the sleep out of her eyes. "Oh this is nothing, I've had much worse. Do you want another water?" He handed back a water bottle and Kate enthusiastically reached for it. "Yes! Oh my gosh, you're the best." Kate chugged the water and took a deep breath. She felt surprisingly refreshed.

Kate took a sip of her first mimosa and felt it instantly touch every part of her insides. Kate had been wanting to go to Carroll Place for a while and finally got a reservation. For $28 you could get an entre and all you can drink mimosas and other brunch drinks for an hour and a half.

The Danish Girl: 5 Stars
After reading his novel, The 19th Wife, I immediately looked to see what other novels David Ebershoff has written. While The Danish Girl is only the second of Ebershoff's novels that I've read so far, he is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
