Ask For Permission
I've never seen $20,000 cash before. He sets the bills neatly on the table. It's a crisp stack of hundred dollar bills. In all honesty, I thought it would be more? You hear $20,000 and your brain lights up, but here is this small little stack, hardly an inch thick.

Sarah's Secret
Jonathon's mouth swiped along the soft curve of her jawline, leaving a tender trail of kisses down to her neck. He took his time, savoring the flavor of her soft skin, the smallest hint of salt from perspiration. Sucking gently, he moved down the length of her neck. Each little spot left behind a small love bite, bright red on her pale skin.

Abuela's Cookbook
Rico grew up in the kitchen cooking with his abuela. She used to make the most amazing dishes. Steaming tamales, chilaquiles, mole, enchiladas. Tacos with the most succulent of beefs and chickens; she always made it so juicy and robust in flavor. To this day he still had no clue how she did it. When she passed away a part of him died with her; he only thought it right to honor her memory and encourage his passion of cooking by going into the culinary field. The plan was to get enough additional cooking skills that he could start his own food truck and travel, spreading the joys of Abuela's cooking.

Yummy Mummies
Unlike most young women my age, I am absolutely obsessed with babies. I have no clue if this stems from my lack of own children or my great desire to one day have children but I love any reality show that revolves around babies. I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant, A Baby Story, etc. So when I saw that Netflix had a show called Yummy Mummies, a show about these glamorous, very posh, very sassy mommies-to-be in Australia, I knew I absolutely had to see what it was about.

5 Easy Ways to Lose the 2020 "20"
We've heard of the freshmen fifteen. Now we got the infamous 2020 twenty. No one blames anything (except 2020 of course) for the emotional eating that helped fill up the days of quarantine or even the extra bottle or two of wine since you didn't have to spend the money on an uber to go from the living room to your bedroom.

A Crime of Passion
Henry calmly wrapped his fingers around the steering wheel as he took deep breathes. He needed something solid to hold on to to ground him. This was all kinds of wrong and he knew it. The Little Black Notebook
Sniveling and blindly stumbling into the shop, Rebecca was certainly a sight for sore eyes. Must have been another break-up. She only ever frequented this particular bookstore on this particular street in search of a new book filled with wind-swept romance and lust and things that should only be discussed behind closed doors in a pursuit of happiness she found unattainable in real life.

Here, Have a Bit of Coin
Georgie placed four coins on the table to purchase the Loaf of Bread card. It was a steep charge, but with the inflation during game play and how desperate his player was, he couldn't afford to not buy the card, not knowing when the next food card would be played. Buying this card replenished his player's life force from a one to a three. Ideally, he wanted to be at a five going into the final round, but he would take what he could get.

All It Takes Is One Word
My word, superfluous. I'm one of the lucky ones. I could have been stuck with a common word like "and" or "the" or "weather". Could you imagine, as a brand new parent completely sleep deprived and having to try to remember to not say such a mundane word within earshot of your brand new baby or else it will die? The heartache. The body consuming panic of realizing what you've done as your baby takes its last breath in your arms. . .
