Happy Single's Awareness Day
As soon as a new year rolls around I metaphorically (ok. . . maybe not completely metaphorically) fist bump the air and got all these good feels about how this year is gonna be my year and I'm gonna get this banging body and then it's suddenly February and UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH *insert full body cringe*. Hearts and flowers and pink and it's like the mind of a five year old girl who loves mermaids and unicorns threw up EVERY WHERE. You can't go into any store or restaurant or anywhere really that other human beings frequent without being reminded that that dreaded day is coming up and once again you are alone this year despite telling yourself that things were going to be different (but if we're being honest with ourselves we knew deep down that that guy from Hinge wasn't really going to work out in the end.) And nothing reminds you more that you still have that holiday chub like the skimpy lingerie that you won't be using on your not date. Or the fact that you don't have anyone to buy that lingerie for because you don't have a date that's going to buy you over priced chocolates and try too hard at an overcrowded restaurant with crappy food.

The Games: Part IV
Someone slams the door shut. I'm the only one who notices that a snake came through with us and it lunges before I can say anything. Street Kid, the one closes to the closed door, slashes out with a knife but not fast enough as its fangs sink deep into his arm.

The Games: Part II
The water is up to my chest. The icy temperatures constrict around me, suffocating me. Desperately trying to get closer to the rest of the group, I yank on the chain around my ankle, pulling until my ankle is screaming, pulling until the metal cuts into my skin and it stings as the new cut drinks in water. The ball scraps slowly along the bottom, but I'm moving! The water is up to my chin and I tip my head back, trying to breathe as long as I can.

Simple Jalapeno Popper Wontons
Everyone's had a regular jalapeno popper. Every restaurant out there has one and going to a party you are sure to have yet another sad jalapeno popper. The cheese is either too crunchy or the jalapeno undercooked. Just isn't overall satisfying.

Veggie Pizza
I know when you think of Game Day Foods, you think of glistening meatballs, juicy chicken wings, the perfect crunch of potato chip to dip ratio and possibly even the greasy deliciousness of sliders. And then there is that one person who shows up with a veggie tray and throws off the whole feng shui of the snack table. But before you turn your nose up at this delectable veggie dish, be sure to grab a slice and try it before it's all gone!

Birth Control, Is It Right For You?
Birth control. It's not really talked about. We aren't fully informed. And honestly, it's a little scary to know which is right for you. As a young woman who isn't quite ready to have a baby (whereas my partner very much so is), I've been left to be in charge of making sure that my eggo does not get preggo.
