The Accident
The first thing I remembered seeing was her own reflection; a bruised and weary face from the car accident I had been in days ago. The bruises were deep and dark the pain seemed to be endless but the doctors were confident that she would recover in time. I had been in a coma for five days and was ready to go home now so only time would tell but time was all I had now. Why wasn’t my husband there to take her home? Why had he not been to the hospital? My mom couldn’t answer my questions but was very angry because he’d already used my bank account without permission.

How Do You Heal a Broken Heart
Kristi was just a girl from west Georgia; she wasn’t the prettiest, but she was very talented and had a caring personality. A bit of a dreamer, mostly of getting out of that small town and doing something with her life that mattered one day. Kristi had been dating Jay, a boy from a neighboring town she met in night school, and she was sure he was the love of her life. Jay was a bit older and had plans to join the Navy after high school. He joined the Navy and shortly after asked Kristi to marry him. She excitedly said yes and they decided to marry after she graduated high school.

Finding Your Dream
Beth was a small-town girl with a dream of becoming a singer one day. She sang in the church and school choirs and had the occasional solo but was a bit shy about her talent. Singing in church was easy for her; it was something she had done most of her life, but when she thought about performing in front of people she didn’t know, Beth would hesitate.

Small Voices and Gut Feelings
Have you ever wondered about that small voice or gut feeling you have sometimes? My story has a message and them both; a belief in God and a strong gut feeling got me through a rough situation without a warning. But that’s the way it’s supposed to happen. The message is simple, listen to your gut and that small voice when it’s strongly telling you to move from a bad situation.

Dementia's Child
Daddy was always healthy. I don't remember him going to the doctor much when I was younger but as he aged of course there were issues that needed to be addressed. He never had any very serious problems a couple of scares that turned out to be nothing, until 1998 when he had an accident. After that it seemed to be one thing after another and Daddy always seemed so sad.
