Fifth Grade Betrayal
My name is Kianna, I’m only ten but I’m smart enough to be in one of the advanced classes in school. I’ve got a few friends I hang out with at recess and lunch, but for the most part I guess I’m what you might call “a loner”. I’m a little different from the other kids. I’m quiet, kind of awkward and would rather read, write in my diary or go ride my bike. I was born with something my foot doctor calls “bilateral clubfoot”. My feet were backward and I had to have two operations to fix them. I’m alright otherwise; nothing wrong with the rest of me!

Book review: Street Art Title: Street Art Author: Ed Bartlett Published 2017 After picking up the book Street Art, I have to admit I did not expect to find such a fascinating and culturally inclusive compilation of art and murals from around the world.

Two Weeks To Homelessness
So there I was back home and pissed off as hell. The microwave just beeped. My roomate was sitting in the den, stoned out of his mind and talking with some one he'd met online again. I was a bit hungry so I buttered one of the muffins my mother had made for me at her place and sat back down to eat it. I'd offered one to my roommate but he was thinking with his penis instead of his brain. So be it. I did not care anymore and it was too bad.

Maddox Darkblade
In any given situation, the one thing Maddox always did was keep a cool head on his shoulders much as his passions consumed him at times he never let it affect anything he did in his work. Having been out in the marketplace and following the King’s Adviser the way the man acted towards people with the motivation of the treasonous plans he had for the kingdom found him repulsive. Yet at the same time could not help but admire the man’s level of independent thought. Maddox was not treasonous in any way, shape or form. He was there to protect and serve the King in his role as a nobleman, yet leading his double life as King’s Executioner sometimes made him question his own motives.

My Happy Place
Connie sat back in her chair feeling a little overwhelmed by the recent news about her windfall. She had contacted Anna, her closest friend for some advice. Anna was pretty good with financial things; given her career at the local Credit Union was giving her a rather prestigious retirement. Setting her glass of wine down for a minute she excused herself and stepped into the ladies' room. Just as she latched the door, her cell phone beeped and there was a text message. It was her young grandson asking to visit her that evening. She recognized the number and decided she would wait until she returned to the table and finished her conversation with Anna.
