Salad Spinner Mindfulness
I caught myself sitting here at my desk and worrying about nothing this morning. To distract myself and to put all of this fretting aside, I now sit here at an outdoor table at one of my favorite coffee shops to put some words on paper.

Say "What the hell?!" to the Dress
This is one of those stories where you might be tempted to feel sorry for me. For what I felt to be limited life choices. For my depth of poverty at the time of getting married. For saying “Yes” when I should have said “Hell no!” For staying married as long as I did. For walking away and losing every single thing I owned.

Up the Down Staircase of Perspective
“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” – Wayne Dyer As an art technique, perspective is used by the artist to draw what appear to be solid objects with three-dimensional depth on a two-dimensional surface, such as paper or canvas or even the side of a building. It pulls the viewer into an art piece and represents an object’s height, width, and depth to create the illusion of “real dimension” on a flat surface.

Don't Give Up Your Poetry
Existence. Being-ness. Reality. Mindfulness. Presence. Universal Time. Whatever you call it, this Force we call Life has an inimitable way of standing silently behind us, removing its hands from our eyes, and revealing the unexpected to us in the most curious of ways. Its gloved hands fly away from our eyes!
