Pandemic Birthday Party
One last piece; that was all that was left of the decadent, chocolate cake that had been bought for the small, family, birthday party. The beach house they had rented for the occasion was quiet for the night. Everyone had settled in to relax after a day of celebrating.

Daddy's Barn
Gathering her courage, Susan reached into the hidden area beside the old barn where the key was kept. It was too tight a squeeze to do more than be able to reach her hand in, so she silently prayed there would be no creepy creatures ready and waiting to pounce. As she grasped the key within her hand, she moved quickly away from the dark to inspect and make sure she did not have any new friends attached, catching a free ride.

A Fishing Tale
Allen and his wife, Kayla, loaded up their vehicle. They were long overdue for a fishing trip at the local pier. It was late in the season to catch spot, so they both had on their extra layer for warmth, as the water off the ocean could be bitter cold.

How To Make The Perfect Grilled Cheese
First off, the above picture was the best I could find in free images. I have no clue what all is going on with that sandwich, but it sure is eye catching. My secret is a lot less stressful or messy. It really is not that much of a secret recipe at all.

Cats, Dogs, and Snakes! Oh My!
I have started to do this article a few times, but then stopped. I was not sure if I wanted to write an article on a funny story about my pets and their craziness or if I just wanted to do an introduction type story. I worry about doing a funny story, because some of the things that happen are direct results of not having our biggest dog trained just yet, and he happens to be one of those breeds that has the potential to be dangerous. He also is one of those breeds that has the potential to be a hero!

My Idea of Netflix and Chill
Ok. So honest confession here. My definition of Netflix and Chill, is NOT what the kids have attributed it as being. I have ADCD, Attention Deficit Crafting Disorder. I have not coined that term myself. Thought I did, but I looked it up just now. Seems several of my fellow creative geniuses have this same disorder.

Social Shock
I have never been that comfortable around other people. I have a tendency to come across either stuck up or shy, and then once I get comfortable, I will not shut up. I even wrote a poem about it when I was in my senior year of high school, titled “Shy Girl Who Never Shuts Up.”

A Hidden Treasure
In the far back corner of the attic, the shoebox was hidden under the insulation. Inside were memories from another time. Olivia was no longer the girl who once dreamed of sharing the momentos with her next generation. Somewhere along the line she had become a woman who did what she had to in order to survive.
