Queue the Music. Hit Play. ep*2
"While listening to music can improve memory, physically playing music has even greater effects on our memory. A meta-analysis of medical research shows a difference in musicians' and non-musicians' memory. Research shows that musicians are better in tasks requiring long-term and working memory." - pianocloseouts.com

FIVE AND SO is a Nu-soul group based in Paris
FIVE AND SO is a Nu-soul group based in Paris, created in 2019 by Solen Shawen and Noé Moureaux. We started with cover at our first concerts and then we decided to make original songs with our friend, musicians that we've met during our musical studies in a French jazz school. Our musical universe goes between soul, jazz and hip hop and the original lyrics are in English and French. Our first EP "Solen et les garçons" was released on September 29, 2021. It contains 4 original compositions. You can hear us on stage in Parisian clubs, on YouTube and on all streaming platforms. After our first TV Show on the French TV (CULTURE BOX, 09/29/21) we are now working on our future release that should be out in October 2022.
Hunnie B and the Queens
Shelly Bourgeois' bio brought a smile to my face and I'll tell you why after you read it .... "Shelly Bourgeois is the lead singer of Hunnie B and the Queens, and is originally from New York. She started guitar and voice lessons when she was 4 years old from her Aunt who was in a band. She has 3 children and two horses that she loves spending time with. She is currently working on a new product so be sure to stay posted!!" In my opinion, Bourgeois is a very talented singer-songwriter and, yes, I'm basing that off of one song. What made me smile is that her bio is, for lack of a better word, so simple. I guess I was expecting a more unabridged version. Anyway, I say keep the bio simple and keep the music coming, Shelly Bourgeois ....
Trips for Piano
Martin Graff is a composer-pianist in Arlington, Virginia. At four, his family inherited an old, anonymous piano, and Martin surged with an uncontainable energy to climb onto the bench and dig his hands into those eight-eight bits of clay, instinctually molding them into little aural landscapes. Crude and square at first; at last, faceted gems after a lifetime of practice, polish, and love. Trips for Piano is the resulting musical vision.

Rhythm and Dues
Tony Marino goes for a playful, rambunctious mixture of pop, Latin jazz, progressive rock, and more on the joyous “Rhythm and Dues”. Within the whole of the album there is a living, breathing organic spirit behind it. A clear ear for melody takes shape and the flow of the work feels so poignant. Purely instrumental the dexterity of the arrangements comes from the tremendous flexibility and versatility of the sound itself. Done to perfection, there is a dreamy scope to it, one that appears to be infinitely catchy as well. Over the course of the entire album a narrative of sorts takes shape all without needing to say a single word. (review: Beach Sloth / Entropy)
