Sardines
Foggy Waters challenge entry I occasionally like to set themed days for myself. I guess I just like the fun of it. I’ll either wear something that matches a theme, eat only a certain colour of food all day, or only listen to songs of a particular type. That day was inside-out day. My twenty-three year old self was highly amused that for the entire morning, neither Toby, Saskia, or Lavender noticed my inside-out shirt. Lavvy was the first to say anything.

Dear Reader
Doomsday Diary challenge entry Dear Reader, There is so much to tell you. I wish I could say that this has all been merely a nightmare, but that is not the truth. There is no stopping what sparked all of this, but you have a chance. I don’t want to frighten you, but you will surely find what I’m about to tell you quite alarming. It is imperative that you trust me, Reader. You will be tempted to put this letter down and dismiss this all as the lost writings of someone mad, or simply a prank. I assure you it is neither.

A Glimpse Into the iPod of a 2000’s Sad Girl
Teen Angst Playlist challenge entry Music is meant to nourish the soul, and that’s what it has done for me. I started singing at the age of two, and from then on, music has continued to be a very important part of my life until the present day.

A Bloke, a Proverb, and Wine.
Dream Date challenge entry I knew I hadn’t left this world yet, I was still here. I couldn’t feel my injuries at first, and I had no sense of how much time had gone by; but I could hear crickets singing, so I figured it was night-time. Every moment of that flight, prior to the crash, was somehow fresh in my memory. Then, it’s as if someone turned out a light. There I was - flat on my back and exposed to the elements. Internally bleeding, multiple fractures, concussed, all unbeknownst to me thanks to sweet, adrenaline induced numbness.

If Mean Girls and Scream Had a Baby...
If This, Then That challenge entry Mean Girls - I remember renting the now cult classic from Blockbuster in 2004 like it was yesterday. I was thirteen and in eighth grade. It’s amusing now to think about the unrealistic ideas it gave me of what high school was going to be like. Regina George, along with other film and t.v. characters (think Kate Sanders from Lizzie McGuire), fed millennial teens and pre-teens the ideal of a Queen Bee equipped with the standard “high-status man candy, technically good physique, and ignorant band of loyal followers”. I forgive my early teenage self for falling for it.

Life Changing Kitchen Organization Tools + A Super Easy Way to Meal Plan
Spring Forward challenge entry You’ve just finished a long day of working. You go into the kitchen to start dinner and you just know that despite your best efforts to keep it organized, the pots and pans in the cupboard will come tumbling...no - crashing outwards and onto the floor as soon as you open the door. Then, when you can’t find the lid you need, you’re going to go rummaging through everything again. You open the fridge to see what you have that you can concoct into something palatable (because you never meal plan - who has the patience for that?) and of course you find yourself pulling out the leftovers from last week, so you can get to the soy sauce at the back which has sat there for who knows how long, unopened. You swore you had an open one though....oh, it’s right there in the door.

Creature Seekers
Little Black Book challenge entry If you asked most of their friends, Miranda and Drew were the most wholesome couple they knew. They adored animals and dedicated their lives to creativity; not in a way that tried to impress people but a genuine way.

The Ultimate List of the Most Awkward Moments from The Office
We all knew from the very first episode that this show was going to be...something else. It didn’t disappoint. There are countless cringeworthy, facepalm inducing moments throughout The Office and I have compiled a list of what are, in my opinion, the ten best ones. We will start with the most mild of the top ten to ease into it, and then graduate to the more wild side of things.

At the Wrong and Right Place
Little Black Book challenge entry Elevators had always made Cody nervous, but not today. Today he had bigger things to worry about, like making sure he impressed the sound design team at HeartMaze Media. At twenty-seven, Cody was already a promising composer, but nothing major had happened in his career until recently. He had done small projects creating music for video games here and there, but HeartMaze worked in collaboration with some of the biggest and most well-known video game makers, and he had just landed a big project with the company. He could not mess up his first meeting. He inhaled deeply and relaxed as he waited for the elevator down to the lobby of the SoHo residence that had been arranged for him to stay at while he was in the city.

Can we just enjoy Aquarius season without the stress of V-Day?
Anti-Valentine’s Day Playlist challenge entry I’m not bitterly disapproving of mushy gushy, slightly pathetic, “hopelessly devoted to you” love. If we’re really honest, most of us want that. It’s kind of like money - people snark at those with lots of it, but wouldn’t turn away an opportunity to possess it themselves.
