The Book is Better than the Movie
The verdict: The book wins easily. Don’t get me wrong. The movie is a fun romp, but the book is a fabulous tale that makes the reader think. This one isn’t even hard to judge. The movie is fun and exciting, but nothing spectacular. The book is amazing, thought provoking, and interesting.

Superheroes aren't Everything- (There are other Comics)
Within the last couple of years, I have started to get into comics. Comics are great, and I have learned that there is something for everyone. I know what you’re thinking, well I mean yea they’re fine but I’m not that into superheroes, I’ll just stick with books. What with all the movies and tv shows superheroes have flown into mainstream entertainment and they are dragging their paper counterparts along with them. Which is a good thing. Really. Being a nerd is more in the vogue then it has ever been.

The Book is Better than the Movie 1
Ok, so first things first. I am an avid reader and am almost always going to rate the book higher than the movie. That being said, there are exceptions to that rule and there are some movies out there that are just as good as the book. Just to be clear I get that a movie is different than the book and one could see them as separate entities… but in my mind they are linked so, without further ado here is my first- the book is better than the movie rant.

Notes on a Toxic Jungle
April 1, 2022 (maybe) What do you write in a journal during the apocalypse? My name is Sarah Peterson, and I am alive and it’s the apocalypse. I guess I could tell you about my degree and my job and all that, but it just seems silly. None of that stuff matters anymore. Right, now that that’s out of the way I guess I’ll start at the beginning of this whole fiasco.

Cosmic Comic Misconceptions
“Oh, you read comics?” they say with a raised eyebrow, and a bit of condescension. As if the fact that I read comics makes me less somehow. I am sure those of you out there who read comics have gotten this reaction before. Like comics are somehow not art and do not count as reading. I am part of a comic book club, though it is on a hiatus right now do to covid. Anyway, when I tell people this, I usually get this strange look in response. “Comic book club?” they ask with a confused look on their face. “You mean a book club?” they ask. “Yes, it is a book club, with comics,” I always reply speaking slowly. It is as if this concept is confusing, but why? The reason for this reaction is simple, there are many misconceptions about comic books. Let’s tackle some of those misguided ideas.

2 For 1 Date Night
The engagement party was in full swing, and I was sitting next to my betrothed Jace drinking a Bud Light. The backyard bash was full of laughter, barbeque, and beer. A lot of Jace’s family had come from out of town and they were asking about how we met and our first date and all the juicy details.

The Great Cat Burgle
Reading the title, one might think I misspelled burglar and I am about to tell the tale of a marvelous thieve. There is, in fact, some truth to that, but not in the way one would think. I have two amazing beasts, or rather the two cats have me. I believe once upon a time, both these little love bugs had owners, but they were not doing their job. Technically, I stole them and I never looked back. I never kept the cats against their will they could come and go whenever they wanted. Funny, they decided to stay with me, food and a warm couch and a lot of attention will do that.
