For as long as I remember, my parents always bickered back and forth. For as long as I remember, my parents never kissed, hugged, or held hands. When my father tried to pull my mother close, she would push him away. When my mother tried to talk to my father, he was not receptive.
I've never told this story before, but here goes nothing. At one point in my life, I went through this period where I felt like nothing. No one really knew, or knows, but I did somethings that I am not proud of.
It was mid-July and the intense summer heat was in full effect. We were on our way to go camping in Vermont, my mother’s side had already gotten the camper set up right on Lake Bomoseen. It was supposed to be an amazing way to spend part of summer break, but with one phone call that all changed.
