Life with Fibromyalgia
Sometimes you see ads for medications about migraines, heart problems, and so many other disorders or illnesses. I can’t remember if I have ever seen one for fibromyalgia, but I can remember the handful of articles about which celebrities have it. And on paper it looks like this small thing that just means you’re in pain and you can take whatever medications and life goes back to normal as if there is nothing wrong. I hate to say it... but that is a very painful lie.

A Little More about Pregnancy
I am just under 20% done reading What to Expect when you’re Expecting. Let me just say as a transman it can be a little rough with just how gendered the book is, but it is fantastic information. The information about tests and what to eat are great, but I am at the part of the book where it is talking about the first month. And let me just say. The pregnancy glow is absolute bull.

Learning about Pregnancy
Let me just say that as a transgender man that is planning to carry it is going to be quite the story. As soon as conception is confirmed there are a lot of changes that have to be made. Especially eating healthy and making sure I'm getting the right nutrients the right way. Which might be a little complicated.

Looking for a Donor
One of the hardest parts of being a transgender parent to be in a relationship with another transgender male is that neither of us can conceive a child on our own. Which is something we both knew going into our relationship. We decided early on that we wanted children. We had many discussions about starting a family together. It was something we both wanted badly and we started our journey almost a year ago. Unfortunately, it came down to me having severe gender dysphoria which put us on a pause.

My Experiences as a Transman
I am transgender. I'm a transman to be exact. There are so many examples of perfectly transitioned guys that pass or look and seem like a cisgender man. Sadly, that isn't the case for every trans guy out there. In fact, I know plenty that don't 'pass'. And it can be a whole different experience for those guys.

Puppy Pool
Equinox is obsessed with two things. Ice and her brand-new pool. We started giving her ice when she was around 9 weeks old. It started after we noticed that she seemed to be too hot and unable to cool off. We started filling her water bowl with ice cubes several times a day and she was always bouncing to get the bowl out of my hands before I could put it down. She loved it so much that she would dig it out of the bowl and throw herself on the floor crawling around licking the ice cubes until they had either been completely finished or melted into the carpet. No matter how many times we moved them back into the bowl she would throw them back onto the floor.

Puppy Problems
When you see a puppy you think that they are the cutest thing in the world. They smell great and give the best kisses. Almost everyone loves puppies. Now I already have a pair of cats and a kitchen fish. My husband and I have a bunch of snakes as well. But we wanted a dog. We are both avid dog lovers and they are the best, but I'm used to older dogs and have never had a puppy before that I have raised by myself. Which I will admit has been a bit of a learning curve. And now we have a 13 week old German Shepard puppy. She is cute as a button, but she's smart. The kind of smart that gets herself into trouble.

The Start of a Family
If there is anything more strange to many people it is when a member of the LGBT+ community decides to have a family. Particularly someone transgender. Being a transgender male in a relationship with another individual that is also AFAB [Assigned Female at Birth] has its perks. We get to decide when we want to start a family on our own terms. Which means we can more accurately predict when we have managed to concieve. It's a perk, but it has its own downfalls at the same time. We have to rely on a donor. Finding a donor is complicated. If you do not go through a clinic you have to do things at home which means either going somewhere to buy a donation or find a website that has listed donors.

My Asexual Experience
When someone hears the term asexual they immediately think of someone that is frigid and violently rejects sex, the idea of sex, and the mention of sex. However, it is a much broader experience than that. Asexuality is defined as not experiencing sexual attraction. The definition leaves a fairly cut and dry interpritation of itself.

The Start of Transition
Being transgender is an experience that can make life extremely complicated. To begin with the process of starting transition is complicated at best. You are required to gain approval from medical professionals in order to begin. While some people are at the whim of their endocrinoligist others find ways to use their primary care physician to begin the process. For myself I chose to go through Planned Parenthood. It was as easy as going into their office and speaking with one of the doctors in order to make sure that you are aware of how things change and that you have been properly informed of what might happen once you begin the process.
