Witches, toads, and serpents galore!
"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window." Years was an understatement to how long the cabin was abandoned but was it truly abandoned...? Has it ever been truly abandoned? The scent still lingers, the timbers still creak, observe closely and you too will hear HER SONG...

A normal family
"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window." All the horror, all the glory, the twisted tales of the family that lived in the cabin before was enough to make all the hairs on all four limbs of Shelly, Max, Justin, and Frances stand on end. However, they could not deny the thrill of exploring this abandoned building, the curiosity on their faces split wide open into cavernous voids with glaringly white and pointy stalactites and stalagmites that are commonly known as teeth.

Feeling powerless to help with anything or anyone
You know the feeling of when you feel like you are finally on the right track in life and that whatever you are doing, you can envision and feel that you are actually making progress? You hope that nothing bad will happen and you hope that you won't regress back to how you were before, but that fear is there. It is ALWAYS there. You have spent enough time experimenting with yourself, with others, and with your interactions with others, and so now that something "seems" to be working for you, you pour your whole force, your whole fiber and being into your field and you actually have a central focus instead of having your mind zip and zap all over the place. This is true for me, to me, who struggles with imposter syndrome. I never know how to act in certain situations, and I just feel that I mimic what everyone else is doing, what everyone else says. I adapt to other people and try to say things that will invoke a positive feeling unto others.

The Giants Are Awake!!
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. But when they came, it was chaos. Heck, chaos might even be too timid of a word to describe the situation that unfolded. When the dragons came, it was everything that you would've imagined. Giant teeth, larger than the greatest claymores, claws sharper than the strongest steel, and scales harder than a hundred tortoise shells stacked together. Eyes narrow as slits but all-seeing, nostrils flared and always searching for prey. Needless to say, when they first made their appearance upon this earth, the people and all living creatures were at their mercy. Humans whom they deemed had a small shred of intelligence, they kept as their playthings, well some of them anyways. Most humans ended up as food to satisfy the great bellies of these beasts. There was nowhere safe and this darkness would continue for over a thousand years. Dragons lived long lives and they reveled in the the beauty of their existence. Their presence they felt was like a godsend, a token of good luck to all to witness a dragon's beauty. But people were not happy, far from it. Their bitterness swelled to unprecedented levels, their nightmares in the flesh are now right before them. They could do nothing about it though.

The Giants Are Sleeping
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. But there were. Oh there were. How foolish we were to ever think that dragons never existed or that they went extinct many, many eons ago. But here they were! In the flesh, and sleeping within the soil, within the hills and the mountains, powdered with snow. In the Valley and its surrounding environment, everything was teeming with life if you looked closely enough. A slight shimmering of the air, the sudden parting of the clouds, thunder striking twice at the same old oak, but yet the oak still stands, charred to oblivion, and yet still standing tall. All these signs, all these symbols, they are all there around us, if only we would take just one moment to listen, to see, to reflect, to hear, and to be one with nature.

This is not our Freedom
I don't quite know how to word this and I am not quite sure how to condense everything and make it sound like something so simple, which it isn't, but freedom has always been hard fought. Freedom is not something that is just given to us; it is based upon the hard sacrifice of thousands, millions of individuals who want a better life for themselves and their loved ones. People who have been oppressed and are oppressed, will fight harder, harder than anything that they have ever fought for in their lives. I don't believe that anyone in this modern day and age would have ever imagined as large of a conflict as the one that is happening in Europe would ever come into play.

The freedom of the flowing watersTop Story - April 2022
I can't remember the last time I felt free, like really free. It has been so long since I believe I had that feeling, the feeling of being unencumbered by the weight of the world, by everything and everyone around me.
