Lake of Souls Chapter 20
Previous Chapter Our journey to the life kingdom was uneventful. It only took the whale a couple of hours to bring us up to the border. Along the way I watched Filon sleep, ate a little of the rations Curant had brought us, and contemplated our journey so far. Against all odds we had managed to stabilize most of the world. Nothing was perfect or completely fixed but at least we were on the way to fixing it. Once we helped the life kingdom that would hopefully start helping all of the other kingdoms heal faster as well.

Lake of Souls Chapter 19
Previous Chapter Filon and I both looked at Curant who was holding up two of the odd kelp balls that would help us breathe underwater. I looked at Filon, "You have to eat it so you can breathe down there. I don't know how it tastes since the last time I had it I was still a vessel so no real taste to speak of."

Lake of Souls Chapter 17
Previous Chapter The rest of our evening was spent enjoying good food and a small amount of alcohol. Filon refused to let me have more than one drink and only if I drank it slowly. I pouted at him at first but then he explained, "When people get drunk a number of things can happen. Their inhibitions disappear which might lead to you trying to kiss me which as fun as that sounds probably a bad idea. You can get really sick if you drink too much of this stuff. Finally it can make your emotions go all over the place. Happy one minute and then crying the next."
