She is from Chelsea and he is from Speke, two very different parts of the UK. Emily meets Daniel on a night out in Liverpool, they like the look of each other, but will their personalities clash? Uptown, Downtown asks the old age question; do opposites really attract? In this tale full of romance and glamour, we go on a journey through Liverpool's night life and explore the youthful bliss of lust & desire. This is a fictional tale, in a realistic setting. Based off the author's own personal experiences with nightclub romance, it is a story that comes straight from the heart. It also includes a lot of the drama and excitement that comes from a night out in Liverpool One.
REALMS OF SOLARIDE: Lucien's Wrath
Foreword: Realms of Solaride: Lucien's Wrath, will be a Fantasy Horror Story by Independent Author, Joseph Roy Wright. It will be my first attempt at writing a Medieval Fantasy adventure, with a lot of Horror elements. I do not intend for this to be a whimsical adventure with elves and fairies, but more a dark underworld full of foul creatures from horror fiction; such as Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies, etc. Magic will still exist in this world, with Wizards and Witches, but it is intended for a more adult/Gothic audience. With this said; I hope you enjoy this prologue!
Up town Down town is a new story being written by Runcorn author, Joseph Roy Wright. This story is intended to become a short love story exploring a couple who meet in the British city of Liverpool. They both come from very different backgrounds, as Emily Burton is from Chelsea and Daniel Parkes is from Speke. The couple will meet in a Liverpool nightclub in this story and it will mostly explore their first meeting in this wonderful city full of night life and excitement. Their personalities will clash as the story goes on and there will be plenty of awkward silences. Daniel will become head over heels for this mysterious Londoner, but Emily will have her doubts, however falling for his more bad boy attitude. She'll start to think about how pretentious some of her old boyfriends were, while appreciating how laid back Daniel is. But will Daniel be able to fit in with her crowd? And how will Emily react when he tells her that he is a bin man! Up town Down town asks the old age question; do opposites really attract?

12th of August, 1984: Sarah White laid on top of the psychiatrist's Chaise Lounge as the psychiatrist, Peter King, sat beside her on his black leather office chair. Sarah White looked around the inside of the room from where she was laying from—the ceiling was painted in white, a turned off light bulb hung from the ceiling with a dark green lamp shade around it. The walls were covered in red maroon wallpaper, and just in front of her, there was a closed window revealing the busy streets of Liverpool outside. It was raining heavily that day. Rain drops were causing loud splashes against the glass. The room she was inside of was a rather small square-shaped room with a pine wooden door behind Peter King. The carpet in the room was patterned in beige and brown polka dots and the psychiatrist's desk stood nearby behind him with a computer on top of it next to a bunch of files.
