The Bug Zapper
The outline of the city grew ever smaller in the rearview mirror as I escaped the hustle and bustle of the city. In the back of my mind, I still tried to justify my decision to go on an impulsive break away weekend. I read somewhere that inner peace can only be found on the outside of a stressful environment. That was enough reason to justify my unplanned breakaway from responsibility. The droning noise of the city faded into silence as the open road invited me into the tranquility and splendor of nature's beauty. The little log cabin nestled amongst the trees on the gentle slopes of an Alpine Lake welcomed me with open arms. It was me-time.
