Merry, Merry King of the Bush is He.
Most people are familiar with the iconically Australian sound that is the cackle of the Kookaburra. There is nothing quite as "Home among the Gumtrees" as sitting on your back verandah on a warm afternoon and hearing the symphony that is a mob of Kooka's echoing from the bush.

Connecting to your Essential Nature through Self-Fidelity
This article is some sort of hybrid between book review and self-help piece. I could start with the usual cliché’s — “This book will change your life…”. I won’t, though. I will say that every so often, you come across a concept that is epiphany inducing. Something that makes you think, “Yes, that’s what’s missing.” For me, that concept was Self-Fidelity.

The Sailor's Song
"The Heart of the Sea, Trapped in time, I'll sing you back to me, Love of mine..." I see you, Sailor. Your endless search for me. That is perhaps the cruellest part of her curse. She allows me to watch you... want you. So close, yet just beyond reach. Our tether pulls me wherever you go but her curse holds me under. Never allowed to breach the surface.

A ‘Read Only’ Subscription would be a Game-changer for Vocal
I read a new article almost daily from my fellow creators suggesting improvements for the Vocal platform. The more I read, the more the cogs were turning in my own brain over what would really make the platform a must for creators.

Tethered.
"Shall we drop anchor, Cap'n?" I was startled from my daydream by Cyrell, my first mate. A shame really, because that vision of you and I, dancing by firelight on the sand had started to feel real. I could almost smell the mixture of sea salt and rum as I held you close. The smoky flavour left on my lips after another slow kiss. I hummed my favourite sea shanty softly as we swayed, your head nestled on my chest, fingers intertwined.

10 Things I learned from my first Holiday with a Toddler
Like most of us post-2020, I was chomping at the bit for our first proper holiday in more than a year. We'd booked our traditional holiday spot, and the whole family was attending. I spent weeks leading up to it basking in nostalgic bliss. Recalling the many relaxing beachside holidays we had as kids and young adults. Dreaming of lazy afternoons with a bowl of chips and a glass of bubbly on the balcony. Listening to the gentle crashing of the waves hitting the beach while losing myself in a good book. Occasionally taking a break to soak in my surroundings and enjoy another picturesque sunset.
