We Need To Redefine The Term 'Ladylike'Top Story - March 2021
How we dress says everything about us. It's the first introduction we give out without actually introducing ourselves; people's first perception of us. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been told I'm "unladylike" because of my oversized, boyish clothing. "Why don't you wear tighter-fitting clothing and show off your body? That's not ladylike."

Celebrating Alexandra Elle
When reflecting on Black business owners and entrepreneurs I admire, I knew I had to write about a female given International Women's Day on March 8th. It was an obvious choice to write about Alexandra Elle, for she's accomplishing everything in life I wish to achieve myself.

Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
So you're not a big fan of Valentine's Day? Me neither. To be totally honest, I think that Valentine's Day is just a made-up holiday aimed to get us to spend our money on products our partners don't even really need. Don't get me wrong, I love love. I just don't need a fictional holiday to prove it. I'd rather spoil my partner on a random day rather than a day where everyone is forced to remember to do so.

The Light Prevails
The bus to Marine Drive Station is never empty. I sit in the back of the bus and watch as people get on and people get off at each stop along the way. I take note of the fact that almost everyone is spending their bus ride scrolling on their phone. For those who choose to disconnect for a moment, you can witness some pretty incredible moments of kindness when you pay attention to the little things. By paying attention, we offer ourselves up to play a role in something bigger than ourselves, on some sort of a Universal stage.

Tiger Print and Tie-Dye, My Oh My!
2020 in itself was tantalizing and traumatizing for every single person I know. Nobody came out of 2020 unscathed or unchanged in some way or another. I've decided to leave any *bad energy* behind me and am only looking forward to brighter and bigger things. Ridding myself of 2020 includes purging my closet of items that suddenly leave a bad taste in my mouth since quaratine life began.
