The £10 man
I do not know who that man was or where he came from, but I will remember this encounter until the end of days. You see, kindness has been becoming rare in this modern world. Like it is something nasty, no one wants to touch and feels disgusted by it.
After the storm
Last nights storm devastated the entire region. Parts of trees had fallen onto cars, bicycles, and roofs. Rubbish was a scattered all over ground, plastering the street in kind of a modern fashioned art.
Dear stranger, I didn’t really know you very well. It is not like I had known you for years. I had only been a carer. It had been my profession and my duty to care for you, but I can promise you I CARED for you. You meant something and everything to me.
Sit tight! Your taste buds are about to illuminate. Your mouth and mind will be topped up with flavour and endless taste you can’t escape.
To the "moon" and back
Yes! This is my treat, to treat myself! Let us just pretend the virus is gone. Let us just pretend, we can travel again without doubt, without fear, without worries.
I saved myself
By the time we reached 2020, I was already burnt out. I just did not know what it was, or where it came from. 10 years of hospitality, I thought I had it together by now. Always a plan and path ahead of me.
When I wake up, I stretch and yawn and show my sharp teeth. Even though my bladder is about to burst, I am wagging my tail. Left, right, left right. Yay!
Culture on a platter
When I think about a recipe I don’t think about going to restaurants having a fancy meal. I don’t think about dressing up and walking in high heels through a fancy lobby. I don’t think about fine dining, ou la la, and a seven course meal served by hard working people.
