The Inner Child's Guide to Coping with Life's Challenges:
Is that your granddaughter? “No, that’s me,” I said with enthusiasm and a smile! The woman looked quite confused. She didn’t seem to understand why I would have a picture of myself at age five in my office. This brings us to this week’s topic. It was there because it is linked to the concept of self-love for me.

Digital Immigrant Writing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Growing up, I watched spaghetti westerns with my dad. Spaghetti Western is a term that describes a sub-genre of Western films produced in Italy in the 1960s and 1970s. These films were often directed with lower budgets than Hollywood productions. The term “Spaghetti Western” was initially used as an insult by critics who thought the movie was low-quality and lacked the polish and sophistication of Hollywood productions. However, over time, the term has come to be used more neutrally to describe a specific Western film style characterized by its distinctive visual and storytelling elements.

Transform Negative Thinking into Positive Thought:
Negative Nancy, come to town and got you down? Our internal dialogue is essential. Staying on point with this week's topic of rewiring thoughts, here are ten examples of how to turn negative (stinking thinking) internal dialogue into positive inner dialogue. Positive self-talk is the internal dialogue that we have with ourselves, where we express positive and encouraging affirmations. It involves using constructive self-talk to replace negative or self-defeating thoughts with optimistic, motivating ones. Positive self-talk can be a powerful tool to help us cope with stress, overcome challenges, and achieve our goals. Repeatedly telling ourselves to believe in our abilities, focus on our strengths, and trust in our own self-worth can help us cultivate a positive and resilient mindset. This, in turn, can improve our overall mental health and well-being. Positive self-talk is also useful in counteracting the negative self-talk that can occur when we experience anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues.

The Power of Music
“Each time you play music, it becomes new. This is one way I’ve been thinking about memory and the present, past and future times all fitting together. I called it an exquisite moment. It’s an exquisite moment because the audience and the situation of performing allows us, requires us, to think of that moment. Very often we go through life without thinking about that moment. We talk about mindfulness but we’re not very mindful, most of us.”
